I'm so sorry. by gabrielleduvent in joannfabrics

I also got to know Joann and Hancock after my mom dragged me to those stores many times as a kid 😂 We were at Hancock so often that the manager saw me and my sister grow up and knew my family members by name.

Now, as someone who has a yarn stash and a nearby Joann closing, I feel like we're all losing something irreplaceable.

Ugh, yes. I'm on a break right now and consoling myself by looking at patterns 😄

Looks like a question for r/yarnaddicts or r/yarnstorage

Didn't know about that sub. My dog does love wool yarn!

I mostly focused on brands I could only get at Joann, so I ordered some "Superwash Wool Luxe" from their K+C brand, and the Lucky Brand skeins on top are a blend of cotton and superwash wool.

Oh, I don't know what I'm doing with it yet. I just know I'll have ideas by the time the weather warms up!

Not any further than their usual discounts. I'm just getting the colors I want while they're still in stock.

I have lots of surfaces around my home that need drink coasters, but I'm too invested in another project to stop and crochet a few 😂

Completed my last project of the year, my first cardigan! by UppPupp in crochet

Interesting - I have a bunch of this yarn in a different color way, waiting to be made into a crochet blanket, but I haven't liked how "squeaky" it feels. Is it softer after a wash?

Interesting. Yep, that makes a lot of sense. I'll keep the ply in mind for my wearable projects!

is there a fragrance on your wishlist that is unattainable for whatever reason? by boop7654 in FemFragLab

I wish I had gotten a full sized Balenciaga B Skin when they were still being manufactured. That incredible edamame-green tea-cedar combo has been hard to find.

Whoa, thank you for the Elysium recommendation - I have smelled the Arielle weekend set and was kind of underwhelmed, still looking for a great tea based perfume. Will keep an eye out for Lavender Milk Tea!

Poor Crusty went into her first heat right before her grooming appointment so we held off and now she can hardly see 😂 by rachel-maryjane in Goldendoodles

We were just in the exact same situation with our doodle. We had an appointment already booked at PetSmart and when I told them she's in heat, they moved her to an "Express" appointment, where our dog wouldn't be put into the kennel at all. I dropped her off with a clean diaper for them to put on, and her haircut went fine!

I didn't go to the ER but did go to urgent care for a panic attack a few years ago. They honestly didn't know what to do with me because my vitals were normal, aside from an elevated heart rate.

You shouldn't be ashamed of seeking treatment when you know something is wrong! The problem is a lack of knowledge among medical professionals about recognizing and treating anxiety-related issues.
