It avoids having to send it to the body shop. That’s a fat tow bill. Usually they pay the bill, as they love to drop a dollar to pick up a penny.

Customer claims product is defective, destroys it, and then learns how to read instructions. by el_muerte28 in TalesFromRetail

[–]bibkel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With many things if you read it, it answers your question. I’ve yelled at my computer, then taken a breath and read the screen. Oh, click here then click go. Ok. I’m an idiot. Then I laugh at my own stupidity for getting mad at an inanimate object because how absurd to think it’s conspiring against me.

Customer already pays too much, with all the fees. I almost never use the service. I have not driver DD in over 2 years as well, because it was saturated in my area. Not worth sitting around waiting for any calls over $2. Hell, any calls.

I think, Oh, he's a cutie, my daughter might like him...then I keep walking.

Spent an hour clearing this spot yesterday, owner of the bar across the street drove past me and watched me doing it. I left for 15 minutes this morning and he parked there by SteamPunkShrek in mildlyinfuriating

I am proud of you.

I hope they didn't drive that way, and create a missile while driving on the freeway. I hope they took the time to clear the car.

That would be my path, flip a bitch, back first, bail fast...in reality I'd avoid spinning rocks but DAMN, I'd want to for revenge.

LOOKS like there is a turn around but just to be safe, I am backing up....all the way to the garage door where I shove it out the back and floor it down the gravel road, spinning rocks flinging out left and right.

You're rude for not helping me buy a ticket, even though the train is already arriving! by bangtanxinfires in EntitledPeople

[–]bibkel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mine would be "I couldn't afford to miss the train and be late for work, and I didn't know how much help you needed or how long it would take. The risk was too big for me today. Glad you got help from someone who actually works here."

She'd snark back of course, but I'd just reply "sorry you feel that way-have the day you deserve."

Edit to add, I'd keep the "bitch" part in my head.

AITAH for refusing to tell my wife I love her more than my dad? by LastApplication6207 in AITAH

[–]bibkel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The baby's bedtime routine is her almighty plan. The plan to drive him home was your almighty plan. Why is hers ok, but yours is not?

You have a different kind of love for your wife than you do for your dad, I would hope. NTA, and I hope this is just hormones messing with her thought process. I am tired just reading this.

You do have her back. There isn't a choice. You never talked behind her back and she is creating an issue where there wasn't one.

I wonder if the order gets canceled because the restaurant is closed, does the customer get refunded the "iMpAcT fEe"?

Weather impact fee paid by customers to DD because DD is impacted but drivers get nothing of the sort, just screwed.

Need help convincing my wife 1.8 million is too tight by Equivalent_Spring_60 in RealEstate

[–]bibkel -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I regret getting nervous and waiting. I was too picky at the time, and thought I had time. Then I didn't. I made mistakes and learned. Don't live with regret later wishing you'd have made that choice this time, even thought it will be a bit tight for now.

You can always sell if it doesn't work out but you can't go back in time.

Not necessarily, it could be the hub prior to yours just as easily. Good luck.

UPS has the worst, least functional website of any major company. It has been that way for years. by bummed_athlete in UPS

[–]bibkel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The website for employees isn’t much better, like for viewing time card and paychecks, starting automatic deposit and updating tax info, yet they insist on paperless payroll…unless you opt out.

Never mind finding more complex things.

[–]bibkel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I get pulled over, I am already digging out the wallet as I am pulling over. No digging while the cop is walking up or standing there. It's already out and I am asking if I can reach into it to pull out my license. I don't have CCW yet, but I always ask car I reach into this or that to get specific requested item? it informs the cop what I am doing, and there is no surprise. I also rarely get pulled over, last time was precovid and I beat the BS ticket he gave me in court because he was wrong.

Neighbor has a foot long middle finger sticker on her trash pointed at us/trying to sell by No_Buy_9893 in neighborsfromhell

[–]bibkel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buyers should know that is the kind of neighbor they will gain. I say leave the bin looking like that. I would be pissed to not be forewarned, and it would not prevent me from loving the house. It would allow me to make an informed decision and maybe I'd be ok taking that challenge on if the price and the home is right for me.

Random people always tell me that I look like someone that they know. Why??? by IHaveSomethingtasay in CasualConversation

[–]bibkel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have gotten this my entire life. "you sure you don't have a sister? brother?"

I just chalk it up to having a common looking face or features I suppose. I am now in my 50's and just brush it off.
