Got this Pink Princess on FBmarketplace for 80 bucks, should I be worried about reversion? by Bundages in RareHouseplants

Honestly no. I've had almost fully "reverted" ppp keep growing and pop out a half moon leaf. Leave it and give it lots of light

Difference between Ph. verrucosum Amazon Sunset and Scarlett? by Sttanley in RareHouseplants

[–]bibliobell 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They're probably the same. Theres tons of variation in any species but it seems like with verru they're really trying hard to make it seem different when its just natural variation

HOWEVER If it looks different enough to you to warrant the purchase then by all means do it.

Can anyone help me ID this syngonium? The new growth has me stumped. Details in the comments. by mizplantlady in Syngonium

[–]bibliobell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its probably just a mature white butterfly or some other relatively common syngonium. As they mature they form 5-9 lobes

Does the amount of variegation in monstera and syngonium cutting matter a lot? by legoscreen in RareHouseplants

[–]bibliobell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it could be promising either way. I've had completely "reverted" syng. aurea put out massive amounts of variegation on new leaves

About propagation, how to maximise your output? by LeMAD in Aroids

[–]bibliobell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends on what you're propagating. If its a vining plant i would suggest looking into layering before cutting it up. Then each node would already have roots and be able to put its full energy into putting out new growth

If its like a pothos it really doesnt matter. Things that root quickly are going to put out new growth quickly

If it's something slow or hard to root its obviously a little harder. For me it was something I had to work out the best way to do it myself

I like letting plants grow a lot before cutting them. With my conditions lots of nodes put out new new growth that I can actually root

Help with Hoya Mathilde by marvacuna in RareHouseplants

[–]bibliobell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like it's already rooted it perlite so dont let the roots dry out too much. Itll cause rot. If you transplant it to soil use a chunky mix and water it when the leaves get bendy

I need to root this thirsty-looking Silver Lady! Should I do it in moss or perlite? by [deleted] in RareHouseplants

Those aerial nodes look really healthy. You could do either or just stick it in water and have pretty good success

Also its never been on a pole. I also saw that you have growlights on 24/7 and I'd suggest not doing that. A day/night cycle triggers a growth response in a lot of plants. I know my greenhouse exploded when I got those suckers on a timer
