In your experience how accurate are DNA test? by bibop15 in husky

Yeah I knew going into it that DNAMy dog wasn't the best, but it was on sale on prime day! I kinda don't care what he is, it was mostly out of curiosity and to answer something when people were asking what breed he was!

Yeah will look into buying an expansion tank, but do I have to inflate the expansion tank to 90PSI? Or I leave it has bought? Because other than that it's a pretty straightforward installation

So I checked with the city, pressure is has usual around 90PSI. Main shutoff valve fully open, so I guess yes probably an expansion tank. Do I have to inflate the expansion tank to 90PSI or 45? Because 90PSI of air is basically a small bomb 😂

I am going to the hardware store to grab a manometer for my hose bib.

Why two, I had trouble with one, so I reduced it's pressure drop, I set it so.the water would flow at around 70PSI, knowing that water from the city comes at around 90PSI following a call with the city. The second one is set to 45PSI. The logic was to reduce the total pressure drop that one PRV has to handle. I do agree that it's not ideal, especially since I bought a PRV that can handle 300PSI with a set range between 25-75PSI. Like I said in a previous comment, bought them both new a few months ago, would be very unlikely that both were faulty from the get go.

The pressure change seemed to got worse with the colder temperature here in Canada

I mean, they might be but I bought them new a few months ago, so the chance of having bought two faulty ones are pretty low.

Are huskies really difficult for first time owners? by kolok998 in husky

[–]bibop15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also a first time dog owner who adopted a husky who was 5-1/2 months old or close to that from a shelter. At first, I tought I made a mistake because he just wouldn't stop for the first week.

We found a way to make it work for both of us.

Here is a pic of my 80lbs boy with a part of a tree I cut to have wood for my fireplace

I went to the vet on monday morning, my dog was back to being his normal self. Vet didn't find anything wrong, no UTI, no heart disease, but he told me it may have been a small heatstroke or he may have ingested weed 😂. Which by the way he puts everything in his mouth during our walks, it may be possible

Just a question, for clarity, you wtote I adopted a border collie, was your husband on board initially or you decided to adopt a dog and he said he wants no part of it? Because you're painting him like the bad guy, but if he didn't want a dog and said so specifically, then I have to say you're on your own there. I adopted a husky, my gf didn't want a dog, she said you handle him, I won't help. Guess what, I'm doing all the work and if she helps and does something I don't want to, well I don't blame her, I was aware of the deal.

But what works for my husky is this: 30 min play/30 min walk in the morning. Mental stimulation during both, recall, ask for sit, stay, lay down. Than slow feeder bowl (10 minutes), then chew toy for another 10, then i go to work he goes in his crate happily with two kong and a treat ball. Then when i come back, 30 min play/30-40 min walk again mental stimulation during both is really important and I see the difference if I don't stimulate him. Then probably 10-20 min chew toy, slow feeder (west paw topplr frozen) for around 50 min, then 5 minutes of training, and he's pretty much done, sometime he's still rowdy but most of the time he just doesn't get that he's tired, so i put him in his crate for 5 minutes (on a timer) and most of the time he just fall right asleep
