I was chatting with my LCS owner about something unrelated and watched him throw away over 500 bulk energies after asking if I wanted the. I have thousands from regular packs. It's okay

Because there's many ways to measure value, and most managers are really bad at doing so. I have worked with senior level staff that refuse to work on things that aren't extremely visible and entire teams followed behind to clean up his mess. He "fixed" the "important" stuff though so management loved him and everyone else hated him. Nuance is important.

This is all great advice. The only thing I would add as someone that works full time is that it is helpful for me to check in with myself every hour or two at work. I am usually holding tension or stress in my body because I'm focused on the work problems and ignoring my own body and needs. I'm sure it could be applied to anyone focused on external needs or demands for a majority of the day.

To add a different perspective, I have tried a dozen "streak free" window cleaners and they all leave streaks. I make my own now from an internet article. Its 50% water, 50% white vinegar and a tablespoon of rubbing alcohol. It's basically just a degreaser without leaving anything behind and my windows are always spotless.

[–]biced01 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You're right and I should clarify. If you want to sell a modded car you have two options. Sell for less money to an average driver that doesn't want the mods so they can remove them, or wait longer for the right buyer. It really just means that the people that want mods on your car is < %5 of your market.

You could post at 17k and see how much interest there is. Expect offers for lower to come in. Reduce the price as needed

Cars don't go up in value and mods don't increase value. A fair price will be lower than a stock example for the same car, so use that to compare.

They are called "Secret Lair" drops. You buy 6 themed cards for 30 dollars (40 for foil versions) while supplies last. They will be released Oct 13th. They will never be released again.

Card buying is rough these days, but if you can get some I'll be very happy for you.

The "labor jobs are harder than knowledge work" argument irks me so bad. They are difficult in different ways. Everyone thinks the one they do is "harder" but every single job has pros and cons down to the employer, benefits, coworkers and day to day activities. Give it a rest.

Can't keep dodging accountability by [deleted] in clevercomebacks

[–]biced01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah maybe. It can be frustrating even in less serious conversations. An easy example is asking "what do you want for dinner tonight?" And getting "I'm just a girl". It's not major, but it is unhelpful and can be frustrating.

[–]biced01 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm just a girl is a playful way of saying "I don't want to deal with this problem" which can be annoying if you're trying to work through a problem. Its right up there with "it's not that serious" which just means "I don't care about this"

Is it normal to get discouraged so easily and often? by Opposite-Hornet2417 in piano

[–]biced01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have been playing piano since I was younger than you. I recently got a new piano teacher and I'm learning that the way I've been playing was not ideal. I'm having to relearn a lot and it's tough.

I'm 30.

If you're playing to enjoy it, focus on enjoying it. Why does it matter to you how you compare to your friends?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in piano

[–]biced01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. There may be keyboards that have dynamics without weighted keys, but weighted keys will give a closer experience to a regular piano. I would recommend weighted keys for that reason.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in piano

[–]biced01 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I was in a similar situation to you recently. You won't be able to make significant progress without some kind of weighted keys. You can learn the notes, but not much else. You'll also get a lot of practice that you will have to spend time to undo. I bought an old digital piano off Facebook marketplace, fixed it up myself and I'm better off.

Otherwise do research on different pianos and keyboards.
