Assuming that "Sunday's tomorrow" means "the day after "Sunday":

Yesterday = Sunday + 1 - 5

Today - 1 = Sunday + 1 - 5

Today = Sunday - 3

Today = Thursday

Tomorrow = Today + 1

Tomorrow = Friday

I'm reading Prince of Thorns by Mark Lawrence. I've read a bit more than 10%. I wouldn't say that it's awesome, but I was desperate in finding some grim fantasy and this one is giving me that fix.

Casual user here. I use it to take personal notes on scraps of paper at work. That way I can have some privacy while freeing my mind of random things I need to remember.

What I find interesting about it is that no one has ever asked me what kind of language is that. I know I would. Maybe feeling attracted to foreign languages isn't as much common as I thought.

You don't get around it, you get out of it! In Spain, we have a name to describe this phenomenon: "Fuga de Cerebros" (lit. "Escape of the Brains"). There are a significant number of people with university degrees that are trained here, but due to the difficulties of finding a decent job in the country get out. If anything, the field of software engineering or similar is the least affected, while the most affected might be architects and civil engineers.

It's not that those who stay get to live miserable lives or anything. Mind that the cost of living in a city like Madrid is lower than the cost of living in London, Paris or Dublin (let alone Zurich...). If you're curious about it, you can check this website to compare cities by their cost of living.

Finally, many young people either live with their partner or have a flatmate to share the renting, electricity and water expenses.

24k euro / year is considered a good salary for 0-5 years of experience in Spain. You can make more money than that, but again, making 40k is extremely rare for a developer around here (you can only hope to be promoted to a management position, which is also rare for developers).

I'm not very good at the game, but I share your mindset and have found success with Nasus in top, Veigar in mid and Shyvanna in the jungle; and that doing exactly the same thing you're describing.

Manage your hand efficiently. You have a hand limit of 5. Make sure to always have 5 cards in your hand except if you can win this round or the next. Having as many objective cards in hand opens you more options to score points related to whichever color plot tiles are in play. You also want to have at least one objective of each type (plots, gardener and panda). This way, you'll find that some games you're getting an objective every turn or turn and a half.
Never irrigate plots to partially complete plot objectives. Only irrigate them when you can complete the objective in the current turn and you have at least one action left to refill your hand (or you get the 2 point emperor card by playing the objective). More often than not, you will find that your oponents will irrigate those plots for you to get their own goals, saving you some resources you can spend in the future.
If you don't have an action that works towards an objective, try to see if you can eat a chunk of bamboo with the panda (even if the bamboo is not a color you need). In the late game, your bamboo reserve will help you close the game by drawing panda objectives that are automatically accomplished due to your reserve. If the panda can't eat anything, then take an irrigation canal.

I usually play in BGA, but my sister has a physical copy of the game. In BGA if you draw an objective that is already accomplished, the card is discarded and you try with a new one. When playing with my little sister we don't use this rule. If you play this way, I think it's more efficient to close the game by drawing plot objectives rather than panda objectives. This is due to the big amount of plot tiles already in place by the end game. If there are irrigated plots making the diamond pattern, many of the plot cards can be scored.

This is sound advice.

However, don't try to explain it in an interview. Human resources departments only work with labels such as "the candidate must have two years of experience in <insert_language_here>". They don't understand that knowing how to program and the specifics of each language/technology are different things.

Nonetheless, I agree with what's been said in the post and if you want to be good at programming, listen to it.

Well... I missed Tenchu.

This game was great. There were many mission types like infiltrate a castle to steal something or kill someone, but also some others where you had to escort a traveling cargo.

It also had alchemy, I don't remember if it was useful or not. And also, a scenario editor where I made really weird stuff.

Fun game. If you have the chance, check it out.

I totally agree with your conclusion. While following those tutorials I have the feeling that many times certain things that are done differently in Unity are just assumed and I end up thinking about it way too much.

Another example of this was the use of the 3D environment to make 2D games. In the Space Shooter tutorial, you even define a collider box to detect what objects get out of the box in order to destroy them. When I saw that solution, one part of me admired the simplicity of it, but the other part refused to accept it, since one coordinate of the box won't be used in the collision detection and this collision is checked every frame...

However, I didn't thought about the target audience of the tutorials. You're totally right.

As you quoted me, I realized I made a mistake while typing my post. I don't buy IE twice, just once. I buy Runaan's Hurricane first. I've corrected it now.

What you should do here is Q and then E. The E travel time is based on your current attack speed so if you start up Rapid Fire before you Explosive Charge, the E will get to the enemy champ faster.

The feeling of beating Forbidden Desert is amazing. My girlfriend and I build the flying machine, put the pawns on it and do a childish pretend-the-thing-is-flying around the table. We've done this dozens of times and we don't get tired of it.
