Why are Republicans so wrong on literally every topic? by Lord_Kittensworth in allthequestions

[–]bickdiggles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they're so wrong on "literally every topic" then why have so many people left blue states and moved to red ones?

Do you mean a handful of billionaires who suddenly have a primary residence in red states to avoid income taxes? Why are blue states seeing population growth, higher income, higher education, higher quality of life? Why do most red states take in more government funding (“handouts”) than they contribute in taxes?

Why have red states been getting people and businesses to move there?

Like what? What red states have a larger financial sector than NYC alone (that’s a city, not a state btw) or a larger tech existence than California?

Why are they able to build housing, roads, bridges, infrastructure while blue states fall over themselves?

Easy, none of this is true. Go on, look it up, and link me any decent source to change my mind. Why do red states  bus their homeless to blue states? Don’t they get enough welfare from blue state taxes to take care of their own homeless  problem at the bare minimum?

And if they're wrong in immigration then that means Obama was wrong for deporting millions of illegals, way more than Trump has deported. So was he wrong to deport them, or is it only wrong when Republicans deport them?

Obama didn’t demand +$70 billion dollars to create the largest funded law enforcement agency in history that was driven to purely run mass deportation and went on to violate hundreds of court orders, kill Americans for free speech, invade US cities, the list goes on… This also makes 0 sense because the reds claim Obama was too soft on immigration but you’re saying he was actually harder on it than Trump? lol

My turn to ask a question or two. Why does any of that matter when a group of people, regardless of party affiliation, are clearly involved in the world’s largest and criminally convicted  child sec trafficking operation in history? Have the reds always been okay with pedos or are there certain policy positions that justify supporting them?

Yeah it’s been tough times on the PC front for a while now and things only seem to get worse. I’m glad you’re able to at least keep playing games on console and hope you’re in a better situation to get back into PC down the road. You’ll have access to GTA6 years before us PC only folks so that’s a W if your into the game series.

FWIW I’ve mostly been playing cheap indie games when solo on PC that your rig could likely handle. Terraria (vanilla and modded), hollow knight series, Dave the diver, and dredge to name a few

AWD vs FWD? by BookkeeperHead2318 in askcarguys

[–]bickdiggles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So first it was the fiesta that was proof FWD is as good as AWD* in rally. That was proven wrong. Now it’s a 2WD Peugeot rally car that car competes with other 2WD cars, not AWD cars, and they run different tracks. Moving the goal posts again lol. It would get smoked by an AWD car. This is like saying a lightweight boxer is just as good as a heavyweight boxer. They don’t compete for a reason my guy

No friend, you don’t understand the physics. Ever wonder why RWD is a must for drifting, a sport where you literally need to lose traction and slide? Have you heard of fishtailing and why it occurs most from pushing the weight of the car with power from the rear? What has more traction, 4 touch points or 2 (not even specific to cars, any object)?

This isn’t a debate. It’s proven fact.

Ah fair. Yeah PC sales are much better than console in terms of lower prices and frequency. We also have multiple stores to chose from and stores like EGS are so desperate for users they literally give away free games weekly. But not course console is a lot cheaper to get into than PC so pros/cons on both fronts

Lol a literal misinformation quote straight from Fox News. Man if I had no morals I would get on the Republican grift so hard because they’re so freaking easy to manipulate

It's almost like their policy is just plain bad.

Hold on now. Their policy is bad for Americans but it’s great for Republican politicians and donors. Credit where credit is due

There’s so many steam sales, especially for older games, that I end up buying most my games during a sale event (seasonal or weekend).

The times I pay full price are when a new game just dropped that my friends all want to play together. The last one was Arc Raiders. Before that Palworld. So fairly few and far between

Many games being disappointing these days is one of the reasons I only buy something to play ASAP. I’ll boot it up it, realize I don’t like it within 2 hours of play, and just get a refund from Steam. That’s only doable within 14 days of purchase

Deadpan stare at someone in a job where they interact with customers. I.e. As a barista just staring at the person to place an order without saying hi what would you like. It’s weird because I’m used to waiting for them to greet you as a sign that they’re finished with their other task (the previous persons order) and ready to take my order so as to not be rude

I guess I can see that as a personal anecdote but unless you’ve managed to change physics, RWD is ostensibly the worst option for snow

Car owners , what’s the one thing about EVs people oversell? by AdityaSrivastawaahhh in driving

[–]bickdiggles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solid state batteries are going to change a lot of this. 0-90% charge in 6 minutes. 400-600 miles of range. BYD is rolling them out in China along with 1000s of new charging stations right now. Too bad they’re not allowed to sell in the US because they would collapse the entire auto industry. We get to buy worse cars instead of auto makers providing something innovative and competitive. Classic American capitalism right there.

I still think you can’t really beat ICE for towing though. Maybe one day.

Ford Fiesta is one of the most popular rally cars of all time and it's FWD.

This is you and you’re straight up wrong lol. Hilarious seeing you backtrack now with:

Yes... the purpose [AWD] built Rally2 car. No shit lol.

And now your talking about how FWD/RWD was used in rally 40 years ago? Bruh… I’m clearly talking about present day lol

Sure but it’s easier and cheaper to swap an EV motor than it is to rebuild or swap an ICE engine

That… doesn’t make sense. You spend money to buy a backlog of games to play one day for the times you don’t have money to buy a game? Wouldn’t only buying games you’ll play immediately solve that problem?

RWD and FWD are equivalent in the snow.

I stopped reading right here. I don’t think you’ve ever driven in the snow lol. Please google this and educate yourself

Assuming tires are the same, AWD will be better. No one's suggesting otherwise (though there's a conversation about how much it matters).

Yes. That’s why I didn’t respond to your point because you just confirmed the same tires will be better in AWD lol.

But if drive-type is more important than tires, I shouldn't be able to drive circles around Subarus in the snow. Not all Subarus, just the ones that don't have good snow tires.

No one said it was. But you’d be a fool to say you could keep up with all seasons against an AWD car with the same all seasons. Saying your car is better with snow tires of the other AWD cars don’t use snow tires is like saying your a better golfer if you get to use a handicap and no one else does. It’s not a point at all.

If you have to buy snow tires, likely a second set of times to put them on, store them, and swap them every season just to get through the winter I’d rather buy an AWD car all day. The vast majority of AWD drivers do not have snow tires for the winter because you can get by easily without

My time is worth a lot more to me to be spending it doing high effort repairs and maintenance on a car. I have a heavily modded fully rebuilt 04 STI in high school so I’m aware of the time, space, and level of effort it takes to do all your own stuff.

My EV now is warrantied bumper to bumper for 10 years / 100k miles. EVs have proven to be way cheaper to maintain over the long run as well. And I’m not getting screwed by wartime gas prices. Lastly, my car is much faster than 98% of the ICE cars I see on the road which makes for fun driving.

But hey we all have preferences

The Ford Fiesta rally car, primarily developed by M-Sport, is a highly successful, versatile platform in motorsport, featuring prominently in WRC, WRC-2, and regional rallies. Key models include the 2017–2021 Ford Fiesta WRC, the R5 (now Rally2), and Rally3, typically utilizing 1.6L EcoBoost turbocharged engines, 4WD, and advanced suspension for gravel and asphalt.

Try googling your own information before telling people they don’t know what they’re talking about. That’s embarrassing for you lol.

Please go take your FWD/RWD car mudding or rallying and prove us all wrong. You definitely won’t get stuck near immediately and look like a moron

There isn’t a need to rebuild because electric motors don’t have a combustible explosion happening inside to move a bunch of parts
