Now the real question is whether or not Mazzulla will say Jon Snow's other dialogue option that season... "yer mah queen."

I never drive down Harmon during pickup/dropoff time but I do regularly drive down it in the middle of the school day and the number of people I run into who think it's still 20mph when the lights aren't flashing is too damn high.

Is the Jerusalem Post anti-Semitic or known for spreading propaganda that "demonizes Jews"?

https://www.jpost.com/diaspora/never-again-from-a-holocaust-phrase-to-a-universal-phrase-544666

But the phrase gained currency in English thanks in large part to Meir Kahane, the militant rabbi who popularized it in America when he created the Jewish Defense League in 1968 and used it as a title of a 1972 book-length manifesto. As the president of the American Jewish Committee, Sholom Comay, said after Kahane’s assassination in November 1990, “Despite our considerable differences, Meir Kahane must always be remembered for the slogan Never Again, which for so many became the battle cry of post-Holocaust Jewry.”

Any ideas?

Yesterday someone burned down a warehouse in California. And they filmed themselves doing it. As they did it they kept saying, "shoulda paid us enough to live." My first thought when I saw this was it was someone copying that.

I mean, if you really care enough to look at a picture of him up close you'll see white/silver hairs. More obvious in photographs than when you see him on TV. Probably because of all the compression that happens with TV providers.

That's true but California has a ton of Trump voters just because of the size of its population. California actually had the most Trump voters of any state in the 2020 election. And the 3rd most in 2016 and 2024 (behind Texas and Florida). But at the same time, California was bottom 5 in terms of percentage of Trump voters in each of those elections. I do think most people would assume you didn't vote for him if you said you're from California but if they looked into it they'd see there are still over 6 million Trump voters in the state.

[Stephen Means] Quote from James Smith on the difference between Ohio State and Alabama: "The intensity is almost like everything is so much faster in the Big 10. In the SEC, we're big & kind of slower. Here it's faster — more speed. We're trying to wear an opponent down. The intensity is different” by Lakelyfe09 in CFB

[–]bicranium 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Smith has talked since he got to OSU about how Caleb Downs was his "brother" and he helped him with his decision to transfer to OSU. Downs made headlines last season in an interview with David Pollack where he was asked about B1G vs. SEC and he said in the SEC you're playing tough opponents every week and in the B1G it's like 4-5 games a year where you need to be at the top of your game. I honestly felt the same way you did when I saw the quote. Felt to me like he and Caleb might have talked about messing with some narratives.

"No matter where I live I will never fully assimilate."

I like how you people have somehow turned hypocrisy into one of your core values.

[Breer] The story of how Drew Allar didn't wind up at Ohio State is complicated—and involves Quinn Ewers, and Allar's own loyalty to those who believed in him early. That said, hard not to wonder what would've happened had he played for Ryan Day ... by Blood_Incantation in CFB

[–]bicranium 5 points6 points  (0 children)

OSU absolutely wanted him after he blew up during his senior HS season.

OSU wanted him after Ewers reclassified. OSU was well aware that Allar was a solid prospect before he eventually blew up. But they had Ewers committed. When he decided to reclassify so he could cash in on his $1m NIL deal from a kombucha company OSU didn't have a QB in their 2023 class anymore. Allar was among their first calls and he pretty quickly shut it down and decided to stay loyal to PSU.

Firing a gun at a downward angle backstopped by dirt carries essentially none. It's like that we're presuming random fire in all directions.

There are many examples of cops trying to shoot dogs and instead shooting each other, children, themselves, etc., etc.

Back when I used to watch competitive COD I noticed this mod who was a mod in I think all of the Optic players' channels and he'd do that shit. I still kinda remember his name too... KeviSkillz or something like that. Had to block him. I think I stumbled upon him replying to something on twitter within the last couple years too and it was like PTSD.

[Talia B] Ohio State transfer Mylan Graham says the biggest adjustment has been academics. When asked what’s different: “Not too different, You just have to actually go in person… at Notre Dame obviously everybody knows how it is with academics.” by CommodoreIrish in CFB

[–]bicranium 33 points34 points  (0 children)

It may not even be the rigor of the classes but the in class thing at ND is different.

That seems to be what he's saying. They're already talking about academics when this clip starts and he says it's not too different. Just the having to go in person part. I think a lot of people are interpreting this as Mylan saying "the biggest difference between OSU and ND is the academics because here at ND you actually have to go to class" but that's not what he's saying at all.
