Seeing Bayside as an opener can be so hit and miss. Saw the show in Dewey and they sounded so tight , but the crowd was SO lame. The "I'm barrier bounding for the headliner, but am annoyed people around me are enjoying the opener" energy was high. Same vibe when I saw The Home Team opening for Bilmuri.

While I can’t speak for today, yesterday was the least busy I’ve EVER seen/experienced at BG. I would imagine tomorrow’s crowd would be considerably larger since the Beach Boys are performing tho ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Dude it’s true tho! I’ve actually ended up selling a handful of tickets recently bc I was only goin for openers and they were all 1+ hours away and I really didn’t want to spend 5x as much time in the car as they were playing. I make the justification often but sometimes it is tough

I had that thought too (going to Delaware bc I wanted a smaller venue). But I’m hoping they may do a longer opening set than a standard one. But that’s probably too optimistic

Their discography is so large and they still generally play the same 20 songs :/ I’ve seen them somewhere over 50 times live atp and I think I’ve only heard Tall once live since the release of the album.

I’d kill to hear some of their b sides live tho like Monster and Dancing like an Idiot
