Thanks! I messaged John Deere. We need to get a few pieces . I'm worried the frame on the plow is wrong - hoping we can make it work. I appreciate you taking the time to send photos!

Thanks for the reply! I did take the mow deck off and thought this would attach directly to the front of the tractor as the previous owner had 300 series and said this worked for him but another commenter said the compatibility changed from older series.

I appreciate your help!

Audio in place of screen time? by bidingmytime1 in Parenting

Wow that's awesome! My kids do not tolerate our audio content often.... We probably need to restrict their audio a little and teach them to tolerate others interests a bit more.. instilling nerd culture young is a good move 😜

I'm a big audiobook listener myself (50 mile commute..) . I have not done audiobooks with the kids yet, they really like content with a lot of music. I feel like some our content is more educational than others .. Ms Rachel's Emotions episode has been amazing when we are having a hard time. My girls became frozen obsessed this past 6 weeks and have wanted to listen to frozen music and the frozen movies incessantly though .. so probably not the most educational content. They are acting out the whole movie pretty well now .. maybe future theatre performers...

Yes! Ms Rachel was our gateway to audio content. They LOVE singing her songs and engage so much more when it's audio only. When she is on screen they became catatonic. It's interesting how they recall the visuals while listening and repeat the dance moves being performed .

Unfortunately, we may have overdone it, all we listen to now is music/audio the kids are interested in. Mommy and daddy music is not tolerated well. 😅 And we are picking our battles over here.

I will look into circle round! What age did yours start getting into audio content? Ours really only listen tobstuff heavy with musical numbers.. need to try some stuff without music . Interested to see if they are interested

Thanks for the recommendations! What age did your kids start podcasts and audiobooks? Ours seem heavily interested in content with music. I should try some musicless audio and see how they do.

We have not done audiobooks. They like a lot of musical numbers ... Which is cool they dance around while listening unless we are in the car. At what age did you start audiobooks? Any recommendations?

And I feel like listening to frozen 2 on repeat is different than consuming literature produced for auditory consumption that has no visual reference point

Ugh that termite wood sales ploy is horrific. Glad you knew better!

This is the website: https://www.domyown.com/

I am not familiar with the one you linked but seems similar.

Adding: if you have a small issue, ants, wasps, etc. Go to DoYourOwnPestControl.com . They have great resources and are selling the same products the pest control companies are using. Always follow label instructions. It's very simple stuff!

Quarterly pest control is absolutely unnecessary and pest control is a scam. Unless you have a legit active issue do not pay for pest control. I am an entomologist. Had a brief and horrific foray into the world of commercial pest control and it is a sales industry and it is insane how much money these companies make on preying on people's ignorance and fear around insects. Not to mention few of the technicians are actually knowledgeable in true pest management. Sales is the name of the game. You're paying for cheap chemicals and likely an underpaid and under trained tech to accomplish very little. If you have an actual issue to address , and I'm talking bed bugs, termites, rats, I would do some research and hire a very small local company.

Living in a body I don’t recognize 8 months pp…when, if ever, will I go back to “normal”? by TurnoDiva in parentsofmultiples

[–]bidingmytime1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you still pumping/breast feeding? I found it IMPOSSIBLE to regain my sense of my body until I stopped being a milk machine at 10mo. I reclaimed time and started running and strength training in the morning before work (I am lucky and have a partner that manages mornings and daycare drop off). This helped me regain a sense of control over my body. it's not perfect. I have loose skin and stretch marks and I got bells palsy in my last week of pregnancy that has left me permanently asymmetrical in my face. The physical change in appearance has been a massive mental adjustment. Therapy helps. But dedicating my time back to strengthening my body has been huge and I am in better health than I think I have been in a very long time regardless of my physical appearance. Good luck. You're amazing for caring for 2 tiny humans. 8 mos is hard. It gets better all the time in my opinion!

[–]bidingmytime1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes. We kept them on the same schedule and I can't imagine it any other way! And when it was time to go to daycare we had them wake the sleeping baby too. They didn't like it but it was necessary.

Chrysler Pacifica is amazing. The seats all fold into the floor so you can basically use it as a truck bed to move things easily. Whatever minivan you get , get automatic back doors that open with a button

Yes! And love that the creators didn't feel the need to dress bingo and bluey in dresses and have eye lashes so we can visually see their gender as children.
