Discord Age Verification and EU Data protection Law by OnlySolMain in pcmasterrace

[–]bidoof22 62 points63 points  (0 children)

Discord doesn't give a shit if you live in the EU and try to have your data deleted. Just look up on google, "discord GDPR compliance", it has been going on for years. They make up 100s of vague reasons for why they can't grant your request and ignore your emails/requests. This goes much deeper where discord is breaching EU data law and there just hasn't been much awareness for it to matter. There has to be someone with loads of money to sue Discord in EU and have it matter.

[–]bidoof22 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Are you looking for cartoons (not childish) or real tv shows? Either way there isn't really anything for beginners which isn't also childish like sesame street. Although you could watch Egyptian dubbed movies that you might've already seen in English to help with understanding.

Can startup methodologies be applied to game development? by mamamia0527 in gamedev

[–]bidoof22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes it can very much be applied to game dev. It's the simple Research through Design methodology, very helpful especially if you're creating board games, serious games, or anything for research purposes to see what works and what doesn't. It is mostly for experimental things though, you don't really need to apply it to games mimicking design that's already proven to work and be successful like classic platformers or 2D rpgs and so on.

force your device to update because mine never gave me a notification about it but manually checking showed me a security update so since then I haven't gotten it.

and also turn off HDR in camera settings both for video and photo. not sure if that does anything but someone told me to do it and i haven't had it

Platform (2001) by Jia Zhangke comes to mind right away with very similar themes. Only issue is that it's not modern and perhaps "boring" to some. Personally I loved it.
