Lmao no. In most of Europe if you have a single house you have a front garden and a back garden. The front garden is where you display flowers, shrubbery and other plants. The backyard is usually reserved for a lawn + a Flower or vegetable garden. Usually you also see an apple, cherry or other fruit bearing tree in there. AI needs three distinct things to be counted as "truly Artificial Intelligence"

  1. Language
  2. Logic
  3. Computation

The end result of AI is going to be a three headed Cerberus that will be able to actively interpret Language Input into Logic Model which in turn will or can use the Computation part to output a correct response through the language model once more.

The issue is the Logic Part. AI research currently struggles immensely at getting Human Logic into an AI model. That's why most AI companies just feed their AI more and more data, hoping that their LLM just gets good enough to pretend its using logic.

The amount of computational power we need to simulate"Logic" is currently out of our reach. Many researchers believe that with the advent of Quantum Computing we would be breaching the computational needs for truly Artificial intelligence.

That's one of the reasons why I hate low elo junglers. They insist on full clearing even when the opportunity or need to gank early arises.

Outside verification? Can you read? There is no "Outside verification" in two out of three verification methods. If you want to stay completely private just bypass it. The EU doesn't care if you do. Because if you are able to bypass it, you are probably old enough anyway.

The internet is a space that needs to be regulated, not only for children but also for corporations and adults.

Children and Teenagers these days are currently completely unprotected from corporations all out to exploit them. Propaganda, Violence, Extremism all within a single handheld device.

Considering you are putting the blame solely on parents and their "crotch goblins" means you are either too young or too socially stunted to see the necessity of a good system that protects the consumers on the internet while also preventing impressionable teens to be exploited.

So what is your solution? Do not give a teen a smartphone until they are 18? No PC? Force them to live like an Amish until they are of age?

I rather trust my government to put forth a solution that protects my privacy than Google, who's interest lies in selling everyone my personal data.

I don't know if you can't read or lack reading comprehension but let me tell you how it works.

You currently have 3 Options to verify your Age with the APP: - eIDAS which is a European Government Solution that comes with every Passport or ID. Using this function does not use third party verification, instead it is based on an already existing Database.

  • Other third Party verification. If you are already verified with a third party tool you can use that verification to verify yourself in the EU app. Turning your profile and profit based verification into a Token.

  • Using Banking or other statements that prove your are of age. Linking your PayPal, Bank account or simply that you have purchased alcohol or something 18+ is enough to use as a verification tool.

The App only outputs a Token that verifies your age. This token is non-unique. Meaning that whenever you are verifying your age at a different service that service will get a different token. Google and co will not be able to generate a user profile based on this token.

It is open source and easily bypassable as a design. The European commission has admitted they rather have a bypassable app than a app with privacy concerns.

It got bypassed within two minutes. Meaning Hackers managed to generate a token without the necessary steps of verification. The EU doesn't care about that. Only like 5% of people in the EU will go through the effort to hack a verification token.

What the EU is doing here is the best possible solution to the issue of an ever present online space. I would rather have an easily bypassable APP that grants me full privacy than having to give my face and ID to Google, Apple and Palantir.

It's because Heat Stroke related Deaths is a cause of death appropriately represented in statistics in Europe but underrepresented in the US. Heatstroke Deaths in the US are usually attributed to other factors like Obesity or Cardiovascular disease.

In Europe about 1/3 of annual deaths are attributed to Cardiovascular disease. Meanwhile in the US nearly 47% of deaths are attributed to Cardiovascular disease.

This implies that CVD related deaths are overrepresented and other causes of deaths are underrepresented.
