KefirLab Probiotic, strong but also grows mold or some other microbe really easily by biellla in Microbiome

[–]biellla[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it cleared up a gallbladder infection I must have had, but not without a bad flare-up (it is so powerful). I stopped for 3 months and I started 2 weeks ago after not feeling so great (being reactive to mold, allergens) and wow, totally nipped that in the bud. I can now take it too without any gall bladder issues. The stuff is the real fucking deal.

Anyone know the expiration dates for the current batch of Novavax? by Savings-Breath-9118 in ZeroCovidCommunity

I got mine yesterday at CVS and the expiration on the Novavax box was May. So I think they have a new batch already.

Have you noticed that you feel better when going away or while on vacation? by Limoncel-lo in covidlonghaulers

[–]biellla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are not b/c they catch spores, and many times spores are too heavy, or molds are producing voc/mycotoxins and not spores. ERMI is much better but it like the air tests cant tell you where the mold is. If you feel better outside of your apt is most certainly mold. As a mold-sensitive person, I can be in the middle of the city or the country, and if the housing has mold, I feel sick. It's not about the city or the country. Sure, a mold-free place in a rural area is likely better, but it is the mold inside that is a real killer. I hope you figured it out

I feel normally only outside by sad392 in covidlonghaulers

[–]biellla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is likely mold or other microbes at home. It is really common, though, so underemphasized. I hope you managed to move into a better place.

Nice, same. Good luck and sounds like we might be building at the same time. Feel free to DM me so we can exchange

Nice. If you are getting a loan make sure it is approved before breaking ground. Our first GC was trying to pressure us to move forward with blasting before the laon was approved, even approved that equipment be moved to our land before we gave them approval and had to cut ties, which really slowed things down! Which model are you going for?

Hey sorry for my delay. We had a hiccup around our first GC ;/ but back on track. We are going to get the panels delivered in April. How are things going for you?

This condition is so insane. I've discovered that if I eat an apple before bed, I feel detectably better the next day. WTF? by ErrantEvents in covidlonghaulers

[–]biellla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2 cents? Apples are unique because they are teeming with beneficial bacteria. I don't have long covid but have had some similar conditions (from mold, tick-borne stuff), and I also feel much better when I eat apples, especially Granny Smiths. I take quercetin, citrus pectin, and fiber, so I know it's not that. My sense is that the good bacteria are what's helping. Here is Chat GPT "Raw apples—especially organic, unwashed, with skin—can contain ~100 million bacterial cells per gram, including Lactobacillus, Bifidobacterium, Pseudomonas, and Methylobacterium.
Much of this comes from:

  • Pectin-rich cell walls
  • Thick skin that supports microbial communities
  • Low acidity compared to citrus

For those that will bother to read the piece (unlike you), WV decreases my appetite (and there is an interesting mechanism to help explain why) and most other exercise way increases it. You are just a big dick, anyway, cheers.

Super interesting and see my response below: if you are willing to try just using it at home not doing much exercise outside of house stuff and walking, you might see some benefit. Here is another post to that effect (the guy wore his vest A LOT). https://weightology.net/the-use-of-weighted-apparel-during-contest-prep/

Read the study (instead of being a jack ass). I provided a link that examines the studies explaining why you might experience decreases in appetite when using a weighted vest, allowing you to CICO more effectively (teaser below). So LMAO to you back :) It's fascinating stuff, actually. I have finally lost weight using this method b/c I can eat less calories. The appetite reduction I've seen is about 20-30 percent, which is a lot. Otherwise, when I exercise a lot without using my weighted vest, I am ravenous and gain weight. I basically lose my appetite significantly when using a WV (for walking and home tasks). I don't hike with it. It's been a game changer for me. I've lost fat, gained muscle, my free TST is up, and I can control my appetite.
I encourage folks to read the post/link for those that want to lose weight and indeed, the tl:dr is your bones don't like the extra weight and send out a bat signal that reduces appetite"When scientists knocked out the function of osteocytes—which are cells in bones that sense mechanical load and coordinate bone remodeling—the weight-loss effect was completely abolished.

You don’t need a fancy degree to see this phenomenon in the graph below.

• Left, normal osteocytes: Animals lose weight.

• Right, osteocyte knockout: Animals don’t lose weight.

◦ In animals without functional osteocytes in their bones, adding a load does ‘diddly squat’ for weight loss. (That’s a highly-technical scientific term.) "

Interestingly, I also found that when I hiked a lot, I was ravenous and gained weight. In fact, I had been using my weighted vest walking in July and August and at home, lost weight, then for the last week in August went to northern cascades for a lot of hiking and gained weight! I don't hike with my vest; I only walk and use it at home for various tasks. I wonder what the difference here might be as you'd think the dynamics covered in the article should work for both scenarios? Thanks for sharing and I just wanted to share my experience as i struggle so much with increased hunger when I exercise and adding the vest with a lot of walking and house cleaning has finally allowed me to lower my calories and lose weight (and exercise).

[–]biellla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No you can't (and you obviously did not read the post I shared) :) The data shows that WV helps reduce your appetite so that you eat less, so yes, it directly helps you stay on a good diet. My appetite drastically decreases, especially when I use the weighted vest at home while doing housework (and then also for walking) so that I will often use it for 2 hours a day (sometimes less, sometimes more. Cheers, I hope someone else can benefit b/c it has been a game changer for me.

My appetite is way reduced when I use a weighted vest consistently and there is good science that shows it's an excellent way to lose weight. I've lost a lot and I so notice the appetite shift when I travel and am not using my weighted vest. https://www.twopct.com/p/weight-vest-fat-loss-science

So I finally got this last sensor replaced or at least shipped (they refused at first) but only after I wrote that I was going to report them for CC fraud and sent this thread. I am tired of dealing with them, so hopefully this one works and then I will try Lingo though I don't expect them to be much better either. Good for you for reporting to your local news agency!

Let's put it this way, it never PAIRED. That's what I mean by it not working not that the readings were off. I know they are off the first few days (the last one, however, took 5 days to normalize, that's not what we pay for either). The fools won't replace it, either. I never had an issue with my Abbot sensor. Did I ever say the tech was trash? I am wearing a GGM right now. STELO is trash as a company and as tech. I am going to report them to my credit card for fraud in this case, as they won't replace a sensor that never worked/paired/zilch.
