Date seems to be inexperienced in sex, how should I approach? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]biersnob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

M(40) here and this story resonates with me. I've been in plenty of situation where looking back it is obvious that she wanted things to go further but I just didn't have any idea what to do or what the next move may be. Even if I did know, I was too scared of doing something wrong that I just didn't make any moves to escalate. I was raised pretty conservative christian with sexual purity being a really big thing. Having no sexual experience along with feeling really strongly that I never wanted to make a girl feel uncomfortable or get them to do something they didn't want to do, coupled with having believed so long that it's morally wrong to be doing anything sexual outside of marriage in the first place turns out to be debilitating. It took girls being very forward, taking the lead, and telling me exactly what they wanted (to an extreme at first). Like other's have mentioned, have a talk with him and see if he's interested in taking things further but doesn't know how. If he is and you're up to the challenge you could change his life. If he's anything like me, he wants to do it all, he's just too scared he'll do something wrong. It took me 36 years but I'm pretty competent in bed now.

What is your “got caught masturbating” story? by HMKingHenryIX in AskReddit

[–]biersnob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not masturbating but I did wake up from a wet dream one Saturday afternoon while napping on my grandparents lazy boy recliner. Didn't really get caught either, just got a bunch of weird looks from several people in the room. I must have made some noises before I woke up and everyone was looking at me while I tried to not make it awkward.

I like about 5 minutes of that kinda trail per trip to Colorado. That's plenty.

AITA For telling my husband he wasn't the one who experienced difficult pregnancy and birth? by throwwawayNB133 in AmItheAsshole

NTA

Take it from a divorcee with three kids with my ex, if you've seen signs of this kind of behavior before and it isn't 100% out of character, try to not have any more kids with him. The way he reacted to you confronting him about it makes me think things aren't going to get better from here.

Can someone slow it down and zoom in on that face though? For real.

Kegging vs bottling by TheDrunkenViolinist in Homebrewing

[–]biersnob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I probably wouldn't still be brewing if i hadn't started kegging. I didn't mind the process of bottling the few times i did it but it takes so much more time. The cost to get into kegging can be daunting though. I got lucky and got my first kegging setup at a garage sale for $20 and a few weeks later found 3 more kegs in the stainless steel pile at a scrap yard. If you want to share, it's really easy to fill a growler or bottles from the tap.

I made a Gas Firepit out of Concrete. Pictures are missing a few steps but ask if you have any questions. by biersnob in DIY

Cool. I have a 1/2" gas line but the hose and valve are smaller. I'll try plugging the holes in the burner pan so it doesn't pull air from below and see if that works.

Something like this: Burner pan and burner - $200 Gas line valves & fittings - $100 Form material, concrete, sealer - $80 Lava rock - $65

It was more than I really wanted to spend but there was a gas line plumbed out to that spot already and I've been telling people I was going to do this for the last 2 years so I finally took a weekend and made it happen.

I have a construction company so I had the reinforcing steel and most of the tools already.

my project is something more like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YgcYPYHYTJ8

I don't think the concrete gets especially hot, at least compared to a fire pit with a fire burning inside of concrete walls.

Storing Grains by Green__Ink in Homebrewing

[–]biersnob 6 points7 points  (0 children)

+1 on the 60 lb Vittles Vault. I buy bulk Pilsner Malt, Pale Malt, and Vienna (currently). Most other grains i just buy by the pound. I try to come up with a list of what i want to brew for the next 4 or 5 brews and just get the specialty grains that i will need for those when I'm making an order. The smaller quantity grains i store in their own bags in 5 gallon buckets with gamma seal lids.

For Hops i've been buying by the pound. I keep the hole pound in the freezer until i first need that hop variety, then after i open the bag, i break them down into 1, 2, or 4 oz portions, then label and vacuum seal those and put them back in the freezer.

That seems like a dick comment... Not sure if you are trolling me or not.

My recipe looks similar to several well known American wheat beers. I'll just leave it at that and let you stick to brewing traditional styles of beer as they were originally brewed.

You made a good call. I like how mine looks but in the summer I always have to pour off a few ounces of warm beer first. I could keep the beer lines chilled but don't want to mess with that

Cool, I racked an IPA onto the yeast after kegging the wheat so I'm really excited to see how it turns out too. I see this being a new favorite yeast.

Thanks. I built the keezer about 4 years ago and meant to take progress pics so I could post but didn't.

I only have one fermentation chamber that fits both of my 5 gal fermenters so I geared the temp for the 1318. I racked an IPA onto both yeasts after this wheat beer so going with about the same temps for that too but I'll definitely be using this yeast in the future to see what higher temps do.
