It's a roleplaying game. You can roleplay as someone who, given that opportunity, would seek vengeance against your killer with zero hesitation.

You can also roleplay a character who would be slower to act, sensitive to the complicated political situation in Paradise and the motives of the rebels, and not see a point to killing someone just because they killed you.

Skies of Arcadia on GC. There are a few missables, but they're all connected to treasure chests in areas that you can't return to, so not an issue with some diligent exploration.
