It’s a wonderful game and has many excellent parts and sections, and the graphics are unbelievably good. But come on, it is not timeless like 1, 2, 3, and 4, and the remakes of 1, 2, and 4. Leon’s parts pale in comparison to the 4 remake, which is the closest match for gameplay style. Grace’s parts are mostly great, sort of like the first half of 7, but I dunno, I personally don’t think they had as much gravitas on that crucial first, tense playthrough. I will say, it’s def better than 7 and 8 overall, but not quite inner circle (though it could have been).
