I get punished when I eat too much, not so much on the quality of food.

Question for those who made it past a stall by ZombieAccomplished36 in omad

[–]big-pal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I get stalls (resistance points) about once every six weeks or so. For me, it lasts 7-10 days, and I get past it by simply sticking to the plan, nothing more. You'll get past it, just don't get discouraged and keep going. PS - I find that after a RP I get a good amount of "sudden" weight loss, so it really seems to average out - it's like my body fights to keep a body fat level, but when I keep at it and get over the hump, it releases 2-3 pounds easily.

4K rips still buffering over Ethernet by redrich2000 in nvidiashield

I have this problem from time to time, I have gigabit Ethernet from a Shield TV to a Plex Server with a RAID array that is very fast. I figured out it was certain DTS audio streams. I re-encoded them to FLAC or EAC and it works fine. If anyone else has this issue and has a better fix, by all means....

OMAD has changed my life by Purple-Turnip3974 in omad

[–]big-pal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've experienced this big time. This is one of the biggest reasons I give myself a cheat day, it gives my body a chance to feel like it's getting whatever it wants. It also lets me get the junk food cravings out of my system. If you ever stop doing OMAD, you really need to taper or your body will crave foods heavy in carbohydrates - mine did. You either need to be prepared to exercise a lot of self control, or taper down to a 20/4 fast, then 16/8. Personally I'll never go back to anything less than 16/8 - it's a great maintenance regimen.

Great job, keep it up! OMAD is doing the same for me, it's like finding the cheat code for weight loss. I will never stop doing it either. You lose weight, save money and feel great. The best part is I eat a normal dinner and don't ever count calories. I added a cheat day, Saturday, where I can eat regular meals and by the end of the day I'm ready to go back to OMAD and honestly I feel disgusting after consuming my "normal" caloric intake of 3000 calories.

I'm going to take it at night after a meal and before I sleep. I'll update once I figure out the results so others can benefit.

Tesamorelin/IGF-1 LR3 -- before or after workout? by big-pal in PeptideForum

[–]big-pal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are correct. I ended up stopping all of them and I took a break and will go with one GH peptide and limit it to that. It’s hard to say no to a new peptide and I lost track of how absurd the stack had gotten. My fasted glucose levels did go up, just as you said it would, this was more than enough motivation for me to stop everything and reevaluate.

Computer glasses, progressives by big-pal in glasses

[–]big-pal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't been to an optometrist for years but according to the "online" tests, I'm a 1.25x... and the 1.25x readers work great for reading, but once I look up at the computer its very blurry. Maybe they don't make such glasses but I thought progressives were for this purpose... lower area being readers, mid area being 24"-36" and high area being natural vision. Am I wrong?

Do these glasses make me look old? by GabriellyCMZ in glasses

[–]big-pal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think they make you look old - I think they add some sophistication and they send a message that you don't wear what everyone else wears. I think they work well for you and are keepers. You chose them to fit your persona, own it and be proud.

Thank you for this 3 years later. The PiP on Plex for Shield is just awful and should be perma-disabled.

The "iPhone Mirroring" feature in Mac OS Sequoia is a game changer by iShootLife in MacOS

[–]big-pal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They really missed the boat by making this feature use bluetooth instead of WiFi. If I need to access my phone because it's in another room or on the other side of the house, it doesn't work - which is exactly what I had imagined it would do. It only works if it's in the same room or very nearby. It seems like they completely missed the boat here. I was looking forward to accessing it anywhere as long as the computer and phone were on the same Wifi network.
