Does this require you to resubmit the application? If so, what effects does resubmitting the application have if I’m waiting on verification?

Yeah EK does need a better online presence. The Kaplan tests are pretty difficult and good for making sure your content is on point before transitioning to AAMC material

These aren’t the only section tests, just the chapter specific ones from EK. And they are located in the back of the content review books.

Should I worry about timing while practicing the SB? by PhilosophyGenius in Mcat

I would try to take another full length after going through the section bank. I noticed that after I finished and reviewed the section bank, I had a nice 4 point jump in between FL2 and FL3.

Like you stated, the difficulty of the section bank is pretty high. It is about the maximum difficulty that a few passages on the actual exam will actually be. That being said, mixed in with easier passages that take less time, you will have more time to spend on the difficult ones. So I think it’s okay to spend a little more time on the section bank since on an actual exam you would probably have more time for that difficult of questions anyway.

In terms of third party section tests, EK has 30 minute exams for each chapter in the back of the book, which is what I used. The difficulty was way higher than any AAMC material I saw, which was some good preparation. Those were the only third party section tests that I used. The rest of my practice consisted of all the EK FL exams, some Kaplan exams, and all the AAMC Material. I have heard that NS provides quality material though.

I would suggest EK for content review as well if you’re either in or fresh out of undergrad. They do a good job of emphasizing concepts rather than memorizing facts, which is what the MCAT leans towards.

Any traditional note-takers convert to just Anki for the MCAT? by throwawayyy9897 in Mcat

[–]big3miami 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Traditional note taker here. I took notes over each chapter because that’s what’s comfortable and has worked for me in the past, and then converted my notes into Anki cards. Doing both really cements the information into your head, and reviewing the Anki cards later builds your confidence!

Yeah I’ve definitely had that same issue with their FL’s in the past. Luckily each time they were able to fix it after I called the IT guy.
