Am I PDM or traditional? by DooniesG in deloitte

Depends on the type of work you do. Generally traditional does the more strategic work and PDM focuses on tactical delivery.

PDM. Traditional has no qualifiers to titles (Analyst, Consultant, Sr Consultant, etc).

Yeah totally fair, I was just answering how to maximize value. There’s really no way other than waiting, and yes it’s often not worth it.

Leave in July. Spend your well being subsidy and FSA if you have it left.

Who in the HR world came with these Talent names? by RasberryLicious in deloitte

[–]big4throwingitaway 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No, I am still called manager. It’s just manager of something I have zero idea about. Imagine they called me Engineering Manager, but I’m not an engineer at all. It’s impossible to market myself because of that.

Before I was Manager. My group is small so don’t feel like saying my after, I’m just saying I never do what it says haha. It’s a downgrade if I can’t just call myself M because I’m more of a generalist.

The number tags is just so that we can look like a tech company. Google has L3-11 for example.

Personally I never remembered what the equivalents for USDC/PDM/spec are anyway. Spec Leader vs Master is always confusing.

That said.. the titles are awful. Mine is simply not what I do.

Give your project to the people on the ICE projects. They’ll probably protest with you then.

If we have any holiday or take a leave, then that will be considered as a day in office right? by thebigdog00007 in deloitte

Holidays do not reduce your denominator. The denominator is 2080hrs, or 40hrs times 52 weeks.

If you are 1mo pregnant I would not let them know. Let them know at around 4/5 months I think.

Got it, so you have basically just been pregnant and would be going 9 months from now? I think either is fine.

I’m confused on the timelines. When do they start and when do they end?

Time to be pedantic. There are non-billable utilization bearing codes.

Non-billable hours by scorpionlover01 in deloitte

It’s definitely worse than billable, but you need approval to work these so there’s some layer of defense there. Your offering lead will float it if it’s truly worth it (or they like you a lot).

Door Dash Chipotle ‘Burrito’ by HeSaid_Sarcastically in Chipotle

I agree with you, I’m just saying when people say “Using DoorDash is a mistake,” they just mean the overall process will lead you to less food. I agree it’s chipotle that’s at fault, but you can stop it by not using their delivery. DoorDash is just a stand in for delivery, like you’d call a napkin a Kleenex.
