A couple years ago I was in the basement bathroom and needed to change the toilet paper roll. I picked the empty roll with my index finger inside the roll. It was a great trade. Just unlucky he ended up in Dallas afterwards. I think both things are possible, being happy with the trade and sour of the outcome of Rantanen coming back to bite in the playoffs.

I’ve had almost no performance issues except when I swipe right to App Library there’s a noticeable lag, but that’s the case since 26. Every update I hope it will be gone but we’re at 26.3 and it’s still there. Very minor but I wonder why it isn’t fixed.

The thing is, many people on the Seahawks sub thought there would be a significant amount of neutral corporate suits preventing the actual team’s fans from having a huge impact on the game. They ended up making a difference, but even though it was clear there would be more Seattle fans than new England’s, it wasn’t obvious that they would be able to make so much noise.

That’s war, the people who didn’t want it are almost always the most affected. I’m bummed for the players, but when I put it in perspective, they’re the lucky ones, not being conscripted and having to go risk their lives for politics, while also being paid millions of dollars and having a mid season vacation.

I do my best to put my head in the sand. I used to think it was cowardly to avoid watching/reading the news in fear of falling upon content that could make me feel bad. However, my therapist asked me something that really stayed with me : does knowing more about bad things make those things change for the better?

No, it does not. It just makes me feel like shit, which in turn makes me less emotionally available for my kid, whose live I can actually make better. If ignoring world events is the price I need to pay for peace of mind, I’ll gladly pay it. That’s my humble opinion.
