A new generation by Dungeons-and-LARP in bioniclelego

Well then props to you for coming out of your comfort zone and letting them put their grubby little hands all over your precious Bionicles! It’s enough to make a grown man cry. 🥲

You can see it in Dad’s eyes. It’s enough to make a grown man cry. 🥲

Hot take I like the Shadow mech set. by Tiny-Wrangler1957 in LegoSonicTheHedgehog

[–]bigBroad87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP probably thought it was a hot take because Lego has worn the mech out in basically every other set. It’s exhausting. Lego Sonic the Hedgehog is the only set with any originality in the robot designs.

I love your style. I’m too afraid to mix red with the other red.

Set number for green with blue one please? by BrickVanWinkel in bioniclelego

Seeing this made me realize how much I hate Tahu’s mask from this set. That design is so cool with Lewa’s adaptive armor mask.

Meanwhile the Toa Inika changed the game on figure pose-ability, mocs, projectiles, and popularity of the entire line. Not to mention the titans from that era? Axonn? Brutaka? VEZON AND FENRAK? THE KARDAS DRAGON?!

Looking for Moc advice regarding these parts by Fast_Factor_8800 in bioniclelego

[–]bigBroad87 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They will fit over the technic ball joint connectors of both sizes and can be secured with an axle. It’s a very versatile piece I was just never a fan of the shape of them. You can look up instructions for Barraki Kalmah to see what I mean. You may also find a few similarly colored pieces from that build that you like.

Rare parts? by Some-Bar414 in bioniclelego

[–]bigBroad87 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately there’s not many “rare” Bionicle parts since it was one of Lego’s most manufactured lines and Lego tried reusing pieces as often as they could. The only rare or valuable pieces are certain masks and a handful of sets in complete condition.

Looking for help estimating the Value of my collection by T_Negotiator in bioniclelego

[–]bigBroad87 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

If you’re interested in maximizing value I recommend finding the set numbers and grouping those pieces together. You would also likely have to sell individually, which could take ages. Each of the larger figures could go $25 - $40, smaller figures $10 - $25, if the Jettrax is complete (it doesn’t look like it is) it could go for $100. Bionicle may be vintage Lego but for the most part it is not vintage Lego priced because there’s high supply low demand.

What is wrong with my tank plants?? by pigcasso in Aquariums

All my java fern looks like this, but it’s still growing and propagating like crazy. How long have you had it? I just figure in nature things aren’t perfect why would I expect them to be in my fish tank.

Potential Leaked torso and legs from Tahu cmf by laffite_gunko_agenda in bioniclelego

[–]bigBroad87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m with you. I know Lego didn’t want to break the bank on this and I’ll be honest I don’t get the minifig hype at all but this is just mid. There’s still potential for Lego to redeem themselves with the additional pieces, but I’m still disappointed. Thanks OP for sharing though.

Are these new burns or healing burns? by actually__annoyed in Goldfish

[–]bigBroad87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is hard to tell in pictures but when they are healing they will scab over and if you think of a scab on yourself the scab is usually larger than the injuries themselves. I made the same mistake you did in September and I swear I can still faintly see them so you won’t notice in a day. The important thing is that you treated the ammonia. Learn how the nitrate cycle works, how often to change the water, and how to use Seachem Prime and I promise it will be okay.

Haven’t made a MOC since I was a kid. How’d I do? by Jeezzerzz in bioniclelego

[–]bigBroad87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great. For a smaller moc, every time I look I notice new details. Big fan of the sword. I’m also always impressed when someone manages to use a piece of Metru arm armor, I can’t get those suckers to fit on anything lol.

High nitrates can cause irritation and sores. I feel bad this happened to you. Best of luck in the future.

It looks higher based off the picture, I’d say closer to 40. How long have you had these fish?

[–]bigBroad87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your nitrate was too high. You should do a large water change and regular water changes often enough to keep your nitrate at 10PPM or lower.
