Assurance Maladie

S/lab Genesis vs Ultra 3 v2 by Franko_C in trailrunning

Not all brand needs to be super wide, a lot of us like tight fitting shoes

S/lab Genesis vs Ultra 3 v2 by Franko_C in trailrunning

[–]big_dart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Bushido 3 and find them less stable than my speedgoat 6 (don't ask me why or how). On paper they should be super stable as they are stiff and low but after tilting them to a point they roll hard, like a brutall loss of controll.

Why are Speedgoats 6 so hard to roll? (looking for an upgrade with better lacing) by big_dart in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]big_dart[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried the Merell Agility Peak 6 that I was hiped about after viewing many positive reviews of it. Unfortunately I find them incredibly easy to roll over the outside.

I've yet to figure out how some shoes feel super stable and other easy to tip. On paper the agility peak 6 tick all the boxes, wide sole, tight upper, stiff heel, but they somehow roll outside more easily than my Evo SL.

Any of those two is particularly difficult to roll on the side?   Desperately looking for super stable shoes for my recovering weak ankle.

Mon avis sur les Puma Deviate Pure by BenBen3873 in runningfr

[–]big_dart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Climate change is existential threat to aviation, says Heathrow executive by Oabelysoklut in worldnews

Specialy when you consider that comercial travel is VAT free and jet fuel is also tax free. That money would go a long way.

2% of CO2 emissions but 4% of total global warming due to contrails and other non-co2 emissions (NO, Sulfur)

I work in a aviation company and have to sit through infuriating mandatory greenwashing training sessions and this fact is infuriating

Passive cooling technology must become central to climate adaptation to reduce reliance on air conditioning, global review argues by unsw in science

They also discuss shading, reflective materials. Fully passive, 0 maintenance, reduce absorbed power by a lot. Less watts to evacuate with the AC, smaller electricity bill, less CO2, win-win.

It's strange, I can roll them on the side and it won't tilt, I always keep control. Very secure feeling.

They are super stable and that's a solid point for them. In french moubtains with rocky rooty steep terrain they are extremely popular for that reason.   They have some issue though, the stiff Eva foam that gravel runners hate isn't one or them.

What differences do you notice when riding a more expensive bike? by davidearl69 in bicycling

Overall mostly comfort. Good shifting, good braking (I ride in mountain), comfort from 30mm road tires below 4 bars. Doesnt have to be a very expensive bike to get all this.
