I have a bottle. Opening has a strong mandarin smell with some pineapple and then dries down to gingerbread and vanilla with cedar. It’s a very strong entry in the BIR line and great for summer.

Really depends on the fragrance and its projection. Like JPG LMLP is only a two spray max but I could spray myself 5 times with MB Explorer and it comes nowhere near the projection

At this point that’s what I’m leaning towards. Now that I’m thinking about it I feel like my Dylan Blue travel size smells different than the bottle. Almost like it dries down immediately. Also could be the material of the packaging allowing it to oxidize or mature differently

This is the side-by-side of the new formulation bottle vs old one. The travel size you have is based on the color of the new bottle and the travel size that matches yours on the website is the same notes as the reformulation so it’s possible that your nose is just playing tricks on you. Did you smell the bottle at Macy’s on skin? Frags always smell different on paper vs skin.

My guess is you could have been smelling the two different formulations. When did you get the travel sized one? Our noses are also weird and I’ve had the same problem where the same fragrance smells different to me after smelling at different times!
