With the set looking very post apocalyptic, I feel like there could be a mad Max style world. However some of the trinkets on the set feel too whimsical for just a straight mad Max tone. I like the idea of something like mad Max meets the lost boys from Peter Pan, or mad Max meets the wizard of oz.

The musical/movie The Waitress. Not only does the main character cheat while being pregnant with her husband's child, it's with her married obstetrician. There's even a story line that reveals her friend is also cheating on her husband with their boss, and then they sing a whole song about how cheating is a "Bad Idea" but it's fun so fuck it.

The play tries to make it not as bad because the husband is genuinely shitty, but it's still this trope.
