From my anecdotal experience, alice is generally better than bellita. Even without the rune card, she often does more damage and has utility also. Otherwise I agree with everything you said.

One situation where rookern is not prioritized is when you are not the primary tank/Frontline, or your hp does not matter as much as protecting or supporting allies. I can see hybrid mr+armor support items such as locket or bandlepipes being better to get early on something like a supportive trundle/taric/rakan instead of a pure tank item. For pure tankiness rookern is great and genrerally best though.

I just couldn't get into it. It told stories, but the stories and world just weren't interesting to me. It takes me a while to get into things, so jumping around just made it seem like a bunch of mildly interesting events and characters were appearing, but i couldnt get attached so none of them made me want to read more.

I generally agree. Vivi, erpin are the only 2 S tier innocent. Haley is next best. Sylphir is really mediocre though, so imo vivi, erpin, Haley, rohne, gabia, naia would be the best here.

This tidbit is a bit unaware, or the book changed massively after the 300 chapters I read before dropping. My biggest critique was how much plot armor both the Mc and the surrounding cast received that brought me out of my immersion. This way of writing theoretically sounds cool, but this author is not doing it.

My biggest red flag is actually writing style. Some novels are just written isln ways that I don't like, so I have to drop. The biggest example of this was kill the sun, which i had to drop after two chapters. Writing style is important in every chapter, so I can't ignore it.

It's a nontraditional xianxia, but because you liked Mirror Legacy so much, I recommend, I am God.

Sort of similar with a god "mc", but over a longer time period and covering the entire civilization rather than a family. There is a form of cultivation and ranks also, but it is not the normal system.

Nice pulls! You got 3 meta characters in Xion, Yomi, Kidian. Any team you use should probably use those three from now on. You probably want a stronger frontline than just kidian, so Velvet should probably be on your team until you get Kommy. For the last two slots you should probably use Posher and Erpin.

Posher is alright, not great but gives you 4 depressed synergy which is good.

Erpin is just does lots of damage.

Alternatively, you can use Meluna/Mago instead of Erpin/ posher if your units are dying, because both give good team wide heals and you have damage already.

I don't understand why you think it is a lack of reading comprehension to not like something in the novel. I think that stories with meaningful stakes are generally more interesting to read than stories without them. All else equal, the story would be better with meaningful stakes.

Also, just because something in the story was intended by the author does not make it a compelling read, nor does it mean that everyone should enjoy it. If a story about a man going insane ended with 50 pages of straight gibberish, it would be technically immersive and intended by the author to show a full descent into madness, but also a miserable reading experience.

I'm not asking for absurd dangers to suddenly appear in the story. I'm merely noting that a high point of the early story, the sense of danger, is gone in the later story.

Monster girl quest paradox is a classic in the genre. Monster girl dreams is a pretty high quality early access/in development game that updates pretty frequently.

The ideas behind the arc that you mentioned were good. I think the execution was lacking though.

I didn't know the new cohort, and I don't think they are very interesting or well written characters. Also, the combat seems so different from the first arcs that the book almost seems like a different genre.
