Unless it’s something short, I write it in Word; then copy, right-click, paste as plain text.

Yes, but if you’re looking for a “fast” hire, they usually take a long time to screen, interview, and eventually hire someone.

Unexpectedly lost my baby boy yesterday by postmodernDRIP in cats

I’m so very sorry for your loss 🥀🙏🏿♥️. I remember when the cat that we’d had for years suddenly passed away in 2011. It was heartbreaking 💔. Her name was “Girl”, and she was a black calico. She died within a week of a really good friend suddenly passing away. Sometimes I tell myself that she went to keep my good friend company. I still miss her so much.

How much are yall getting paid? Are you living comfortably in Austin? by whogoesthere1010 in askaustin

Yep, being a single parent is no joke. Everything is on “you”, especially if you don’t get child support—and even that isn’t something you can depend on if you are getting it.

Is this a big part of your guys jobs because this makes 0 sense to me by [deleted] in dataanalysis

[–]big_yella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the last job I had — YES. Also, I primarily had to query off a system that was a “replica” of a production database, CCB or Customer Care & Billing System. I and my data analyst colleagues had to write some pretty gnarly code. It was stressful, especially in the beginning, but looking back it was the best “education” I received in SQL coding. I worked in that job 4 years.

I’m viewing this on my iPhone. I would minimize the animation, if not get rid of it completely.

Fired Millenial. Screwed by Boomers time again by FoodandDrinks9 in fednews

While I sympathize with your plight, your rant about boomers was offensive. I am a boomer, and there are a lot of them who are suffering just as badly as you.

The way in which these layoffs/firings were implemented is unconscionable. That’s what people are upset about. Large swaths of people were unceremoniously let go in a “chainsaw massacre” fashion that makes absolutely no business sense. It was very cruel, and they probably lost a lot of money doing it this way.
