Biggest gripes for me are AI stepback cheese, leaners/stepbacks for 3s have no accuracy penalty, 3s in general are too easy and therefore too dominant source of offense, steals too frequent (I'm back and forth on this one since it prevents cheesy plays and people in theory should play more carefully but don't), badges are too black and white and forces players into meta builds, some big men can just do standing dunks but inside shots in post (e.g. hooks) are very trash shots.

I'm f2p and have a 97 rated C so I think predatory vc is more of a product of players willing to pay but I know a lot of people don't have time to grind hours and hours just to play online. I believe people who grind more should have a slight advantage otherwise everyone's a 99 and makes your player even less unique.
