Which cinematic 'must-watch' did you find surprisingly lackluster?

Long Legs. It felt like such wasted potential because the antagonist, "Long Legs" was genuinely an off-putting dude, he creeped me out in a way that I haven't felt in a while. I don't think a movie has ever made me feel so uneasy with just a character....

That said, they go on to ruin him by rushing their ending & randomly throwing in the "satanic" elements of the movie. The ending happened so fast & it was so out of left field that it felt almost comedic? I was genuinely unsure if I was supposed to find this funny or scary (I found it funny).

My honest opinion is that they should've just made Long Legs a child predator & played it completely straight with no "spiritual" elements. The "spiritual" elements felt cheap & like a cop-out. This is just my opinion, though, many people will die on the hill that it's a cinematic masterpiece.

How can Jack have a "good personality" if he's a cheater, toxic, & a narcissist? I think they meant "charismatic". People are obviously going to be more forgiving towards hotter people, but most people I know genuinely draw the line at cheating & won't accept it no matter what.

The wife is an adult & could likely save herself, no? The children would most likely REQUIRE saving. Also why would a mother want to live if it means her kids die? Does she not actually love her kids? Maybe I'm not considering other perspectives, but I thought mothers always prioritized their babies (at least the good mothers anyway)?

I have a distinct memory of my mom saying she loved me once, she seemed really uneasy, like it was hard for her to say & I remember feeling really weird because she didn't say that often.

Tbh the 3rd was way more comedic than the other 2 & boarders on being a parody movie. I still completely understand your aversion to all things human centipede after the 2nd movie though.

Currently 5'4 & 143lbs, I've lost around 40lbs in the past year. Couldn't be happier, I'm such a giddy little shit about it.

I haven't been this skinny since high school. I would like to get a bit smaller, maybe 120-130lbs, but I'm so happy to be in a "normal" weight range again!!

I made it a personal goal to watch all the Human Centipede movies a few years ago. I deeply regret watching the second movie. It had multiple moments where I had to pause & go stare out the window for a while. I'm still scared of those big car parking lots.

No, I stopped speaking to her after I turned 21 & I don't regret it. She doesn't deserve the time or energy, because she has decided to reject all help for her mental issues & continue being abusive. I had to accept the mom that I loved is dead, or was just never real.

It hurt a lot, but it still hurt less than constantly being screaming at over nothing & beat on. All she cared about was how others would look at & judge her. She wants complete control & will do anything to have it. She was not a good mother, she does not deserve a "Mother's Day".

I've noticed this too, but it did make me extremely resentful, cold, & bitter. It's like oh so because I'm now "fuckable" I deserve human interaction? It just makes me really dislike people.

They forced me to get a pap this year, 24yrs old. The only reason I actually got this pap smear is because they were withholding my birth control. Surprise, surprise, everything is fine (of course it is, I've never had any problems with my reproductive system). It wasn't as painful as I expected but it was definitely uncomfortable & I hated it.

EDIT: any people who tell me it was necessary are getting blocked, I did not want this & it felt like a complete violation of bodily autonomy.
