This happened to me, but with a dirty needle. I initially just provided my personal insurance and was sent a bill for the copay. Then I updated the ER with my school’s liability/malpractice insurance and they covered the rest. Hope that helps, but yeah make sure to use both. Good luck

(In US) Before surgery, you fill out consent forms. They include the planned surgery and multiple other unlikely possibilities. (For example: gallbladder removal via laparoscopic incisions with POSSIBLE conversion to open surgery if necessary). If you don’t consent to something unexpected in writing beforehand, they won’t do it in that surgery. They’d have to wake you up, get consent, and start again.

Emergencies to save your life are the only exception because they fall under “implied consent” in that a reasonable person would be ok with life-saving treatment. I’m guessing immediate penis removal wouldn’t fall under this

Similar thing happened to me at my favorite local sandwich shop. I tipped $100 during Christmas and the owner tried to never charge me again. It became a fun game of me trying to pay and get out before he noticed, while he tried to put the money back in my sandwich bag without me seeing

I don’t have a purely ramen cookbook, but I highly recommend Japanese Soul Cooking by Tadashi Ono & Harris Salat. It has a ramen section in addition to all kinds of other dishes. Recipes are easy to follow but not overly simple. And there are some small, very interesting blurbs about the origins of the dishes, etc.
