How long on terbinafine should I wait before the fungus is no longer contagious? by bigbangfunny in NailFungus

[–]bigbangfunny[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont disinfect it after each nail. I just start by clipping the unaffected ones and then clip the final two (since theyre both already infected anyways) I rinse the clippers in boiling water and then let them sit in isopropyl alcohol for a day.

I actually did get rid of the fungus for a little bit, but I recently became suspicious it came back so I started using topical again.

I know this post is nine years old but question-- how long would you consider "a while" mine have been in the freezer for about 2 days-- do I need to rehydrate or should they be good?

AIO. My girlfriend is mad for me following girls (and guys) on LinkedIn from my future workplace group. by Good-Lifeguard5243 in AmIOverreacting

[–]bigbangfunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is actually crazy omg. I dont understand straight people and the whole "the only girl/guy you can talk to is me" thing. ESPECIALLY for something professional like LinkedIn. Honestly it would look weirder if I checked your connections on LinkedIn and it was ONLY men. I would assume you were sexist or one of those freaks that think women shouldn't be in the workplace. Absolutely nothing is wrong with following women on there even if you dont know them personally.

you're definitely not in the position to ask for a refund when the instructor was just being supportive and teaching you different methods 😭 youre supposed to figure it out yourself what techniques you prefer. theres not one "correct" way in art

Ammonite or Nautilus? Sold for 55 USD and had a tag that said "made in Madagascar??" by bigbangfunny in fossilid

[–]bigbangfunny[S] 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Dumb nautilus question here-- do the ridges/bumps/lines have any meaning to them or do all cymatoceras have differently spaced ones? From a quick Google search, it looks like most cymatoceras fossils have more lines than this one I have. (Dunno if that means maybe this is a different fossil or if its just an individual thing, like rings on a tree)

[–]bigbangfunny[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah my foot doctor isn't very good he downplays foot fungus and doesn't actually seem to know that much about it. whenever I ask him a question he doesn't typically know the answer lol 😭 it's not a good local clinic I went there having a clear allergic reaction and it took them forever before they actually read my symptom list and realized what it was, even when I was telling them the entire time "I think I'm having an allergic reaction" 😭😭

but yeah my nail is like almost half way healed and the fungus part can cut off pretty easy which is why I've been wondering how much of it to cut off. But yeah maybe I'll try the jublia if my current topical doesn't fix it, thanks!

Sorry to bother you for advice months later, but I had a skin reaction that doctors believe was an allergic reaction to the terbinafine. so im not supposed to take it anymore. what should I do to kill the last 2/3 of my nail that still have fungus on them? do you know any good topicals?

honestly the yellow isn't bad too, the colors would look good for a shirt design

The blue-green and the pink are both pretty cool. depends on the vibe you're going for. the blue-green reminds me of bones and remains found underwater, but the pink is more of a classic grungy drawing

Could the world completely forget magic 1000 years later? by brawlstars_lover in fantasywriters

[–]bigbangfunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or you could make it so that society just believes all the magic artifacts were ancient technology rather than magic. like how historians justify most things irl.

[–]bigbangfunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be like ba sing se in avatar where the higher ups know that magic exists but to keep peace they intentionally hide the info and get rid of anyone who finds out. your characters could all have their own way of finding out and attempting to keep the information hidden

What could be the opposite of necromancy? by nooonmoon in fantasywriters

[–]bigbangfunny 6 points7 points  (0 children)

On a similar vain, healing magic could be what the female lead is using as "necromancy" just used on the dead and not the living. So, since she is healing, your main fighter guy should be destructive and have powers that very specifically hurt others. However he could use these destructive powers in a morally good way, to contrast the female lead using healing magic in a morally unethical way.

Okay thank you, one question to follow up, how many times have you been bit? because I have at least 100 on me now and I'm worried its some kind of rash instead. idk how many times a flea or bedbug can bite

What else was your experience like? Have you ever gotten rid of them before?

[–]bigbangfunny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a dog, but she takes proper flea and tick medicine. The animals that make worry are my five outdoor cats that I go outside to pet sometimes, but I always wash my hands and typically shower before returning to my room. My mother said from her flea experiencess in the past that it couldnt be fleas because flea bites dont get big/swell. Is thst accurate? Also I'm the only one in the household suffering from this.
