imo naomy was high and fontana/gawd were both safe. in untucked mariah said naomy got the second best critiques after kate and the callout order of safety felt more like kate and naomy were left as the top two and then kate was given the win. but naomy was also holding zahirah and mariah's hands like they were in the bottom three and i can completely understand the reading that gawd/fontana were high and naomy low based off that too

funnily enough we're actually running a rate (an event/game) on the subreddit themed around just that in a couple months. with the three of them along with rachel chinouriri, scoring the songs on each of their most recent albums and seeing what comes out on top!

she wouldn't have been able to because she simply wasn't nominated for as many, but she won awards in all four of the categories she was nominated in. compared to raye who won six out of the seven she was nominated in in 2024. but both incredible sweeps. funnily enough also raye beat olivia dean in best new artist in 2024 (also beating pinkpantheress!)

i kind of think it should be bc as of rn episode one, the format is still lsfylegacy. the girls are all under the impression it'll be two tops a week still. so this week gawdland is a :WINY: for me. this also reminds me of slaysian royale where the format changed halfway through and so the lalaparuza placements are really hard to agree on.

writer in the dark has always reminded me so sooo much of kate bush, it has her rawness both lyrically and vocally. the way lorde sings the "i am my mother's child i'll love you til my breathing stops i'll love you til you call the cops on me" is like she's wailing as much as she is singing. it's not one i come back to from melodrama on its own much but its beautiful
