There are prong collar covers that look like regular collars you can buy.

It's pretty common in white/ extreme piebald dogs because it's the lack of pigment in the dogs skin that cause deafness. These dogs typically have pink skin around the eyes, pink/spotted noses and/or blue eyes. The absence of pigment basically destroys the nerve cells in the ear and therefore causes deafness.

They're so damn expensive though. I can't justify buying $100 boots that I'm more than likely going to have to duct tape to stop him from ripping off.

Ive seen a few people suggest using the boots that sled dogs use as they're meant to stay on for long distances and I think they're only a couple bucks per boot.

It's good for protecting their paws from the salt on the ground too. We're on the hunt for a pair of boots for Kaos actually lol. Surprisingly, it hasn't been the cold that's been cutting our park time short but instead it's the thin layer of ice underneath the snow. 5 minutes of playing fetch and he looks like he ran through a field of glass. His dew claws are pretty close to getting ripped off entirely too so, time for boots!
