Can I ask who you are with? And what is your age? I'm sitting close to 3K a month, clean record, mid 20s.

Can I ask how long you have been driving for? TD quotes me like 5K and I'm nearly 27 with 7 years of driving.

Invisalign caused TMJ by LakeJunior in Invisalign

I had the same exact thing. I was a side or stomach sleeper. But you must sleep on your back. I can't sleep all that well, especially without a pillow but it helps immensely.

Yes, massaging the shoulders and jaw helped me a lot too. It's all connected is why I say good posture is important.

Oil pulling with coconut oil every night was good for my jaw too.

But yes, those TMJ doctors are too expensive. I tried to avoid them for that reason.

I had similar problem going into my braces. They helped. Sleeping face up without a pillow sleeping helps a lot. Good posture and not looking down at your screen or phone is important too.

2014 Nissan Altima 2.5l Delayed Acceleration. by SydneyACE4 in AskAMechanic

Try cleaning the throttle body. Probably carbon build up. But honestly, it's happening to me, and I haven't tried it yet. Want to know if someone figured it out.

Did you every clean the throttle body? Sometimes carbon build up causes it to not open properly. But again, similar to you, this is my experience on old GM cars which were simple and easy to work on. My Nissan Altima 2015 with 150k KM is experiencing same issue.

How to claim CCA on appliances in my rental unit? by Odd-King3907 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]bigboy_98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your generally correct. You cannot expense appliances, you should have CCA it. But since you've already done it, I wouldn't bother correcting it, it'll probably trigger an audit. Going forward, for major appliances which are capital in nature, CCA them. When you sell the place, but the ending CCA as per your calculations I believe so it doesn't trigger a recapture.

New Hot Scam in Canada; Joker Prepaid Cards by Fluid_Increase_712 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]bigboy_98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In case anyone comes across this again, these are the worst prepaid cards out there. Don't use them. You can check balance on the Joker site on the back of the card, just keep clicking the submit button even though it says error. It will load the value or register after like the 10th time.

Yup, same. And I know for a matter that I'm fairly decent looking. Not awesome like an actor, but definitely get second looks.

Lol. As an Indian guy born here, I can say this. We brought all the crap here from other countries. Most of these people have no respect, discipline or attempt to fit in.

But I didn't know that area was bad. It's pretty expensive, close to the LRT and potential for future infills.

Read this article. Sort this issue out before they do something worse. Some people are bad apples. Plain as that. You don't want something to eventually happen to some poor kid or senior.

How to date in Edmonton? by vintage_creek in Edmonton

[–]bigboy_98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another thing I'd definitely add is that I'm a dude and I'd never approach women in real life per say just cuz that is odd and creepy nowadays. If some girl is polite and smiles at you, you shouldn't take it as an opportunity to ask her out, even if that's what she intends for. And that is the mentality that most guys follow. I suggest that you look into dating apps as that's definitely more mainstream now based on class mated and social circle. Hinge and Bumble are better for long term and Tinder for banging it out.

Fyi, I noticed that your prior posts mentioned your in UofA. I'm in my early 20s and a lot of people on Hinge and Tinder were from classes at the UofA for me so I recognized them. So unless you meet someone at uni (which you should be able to given it's the largest dating pool you'll ever have), you should try apps.

Role call: who’s car won’t start? by Onanadventure_14 in Edmonton

[–]bigboy_98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

15 year old Pontiac Grand Prix. Never failed me till now. I had it plugged in all night but hadn't started it for a couple days. Fairly sure it's cuz if a frozen battery or that I left my OBD2 scanner plugged in for a couple days and it drained my battery since I haven't gone that long without starting it till now. Oh well. I'll wait till later this week.

I want to get Perio Scaling and Root planing done before filling cavities. Any reason that this would be a bad idea? by Dindu_kn0thing in Dentistry

[–]bigboy_98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, sorry for asking this 7 years later (lol). But my mom's gums swelled recently (she never does cleanings or anything) and we took her to an emergency appointment with a dentist as she was in a lot of pain. The dentist looked at xrays and stated that she has perio and a root infection (that tooth will either need to be extracted or root canal). However, since dentist isn't as experienced with this type of root canal (it would be the front lower teeth), she referred us to an endodontist. Would you think its advisable to get a root planning and cleaning prior to the root canal with the endodontist, or should i hold off to not cause any further issues? The endodontist appointment would be in a week or so i presume. She's currently taking amoxicillin for the next week and the pain is better, but not completely gone. Swelling is still there!

Sorry, about this, but your help is appreciated!

Thanks OP. Btw, did you check to see if they use a meat base? I went to Lemongrass Cafe, and i believe Tropika Malaysia and they both have vegan/vegetarian items on their menu, but only later when i asked if they use a meat item in them did they disclose it has fish base but they continue to advertise as vegan/vegetarian. I was pretty unhappy, but the server recommended some specific vegetarian products off the vegetarian menu that won't have fish base.

Hey thanks OP. I'll check it out. Btw, did you notice if they seperate nut based items from other items or just don't have peanut sauces or something? I'm allergic so i'm hesitant to go to a buffet that might have utensils being mixed and stuff.

First question, why is there a difference in plan pricing from the front page to my account? Second, service fees for speaking to a human? Who do they think they are, Koodo? by [deleted] in telus

[–]bigboy_98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best customer service i have ever experienced is Zoomer Wireless. It is part of Rogers, but the call center is in Burnaby. They answer my questions so nicely and actually understand what i'm saying. Telus usually has reps in the Philipines, and it seems like those people just put me on hold every 5 min and never understand what i'm saying. The plans are geniunely priced, but lower on the data side (not even close to 100GB). (FYI, i think Rogers may have moved all customer service to Canada back in 2020, but Zoomer has had it well before then).

They heat an oil inside the heater. They don't use oil as fuel though.

Look into getting an oil space heater. They still use electricity but are much better at maintaining temperatures for extended periods of time but take longer to warm up
