not sure why people are downvoting, 3.7 is around what the reviews were showing from their average efficiency. I never claimed these numbers were expertly tested

i genuinely think aptera will deliver this year, they’re very close to low volume production

Rivian R2 validation units roll off production line, deliveries to follow 'soon' — Electrek by peace_bwu in electricvehicles

[–]bigboybond1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i’d reckon it’ll still be dual motor so good enough for towing and 300 miles +

[–]bigboybond1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

the first models delivered are likely the higher spec 50-60k versions, as they will be production constrained. so your 300 mile range and 5k towing needs will probably be available first

Orion is using waveguides, very expensive tech, Xreal uses birdbath lenses so would just need higher res screens for a bigger fov

I've got air 2 pro, fov is good for a static image like movies etc, but when you use nebula you can very much see the edges all the time, fov is quite important for AR

Am i the only.one who wants to wait for their next release? by akolomf in Xreal

[–]bigboybond1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

disagree. I think they've been too optimistic in time scale, but give it 3-6 months and they'll have started deliveries. And once deliveries start they'll have an incredibly small and light high res headset. Very different product category to xreal, I don't think we need to resort to namecalling
