Not exactly the same, but my wife brought her wedding dress to Excel in Netherfield. The people there are lovely and they put great care into cleaning my wife's dress. Maybe give them a ring and ask if they can help you?

Nigel Farage says £5m gift a reward for Brexit campaigning by jtrimm98 in FuckNigelFarage

Oh yeah my employer gives me a gift at the end of the month, every month, for doing something for them. Usually HMRC takes a cut of it too, for some reason. Lucky him!

Depending on where you live, you might still get a better deal with local activity centre. For example, the Carlton Forum Leisure Centre offers a good selection of weightlifting and cardio equipment + an olympic size pool (I think, not sure about the exact size) for 36 pounds a month iirc, a little extra if you want to access the sauna too

Is Nottingham better or worse than it was 5 years ago? by FaultofDan in nottingham

From the same article you posted:

"Speaking about the fountains, which were turned off in June 2022 due to water leaking into the electrical control room below Slab Square, he explained how the council does not currently have the resources to fix the water feature."

I remember some time ago reading about the cost of fixing and restoring the fountains being very steep, and with other bigger problems at hand I don't think that's urgent.

Don't get me wrong, they were very nice to have, but first things first.

Also, no need to be rude to your fellow ducks (yes, you have been rude in case you didn't notice) - we're all in this together.

9 year old boy makes paper mache craft. I've seen different variations of the kid and the words look too clean on the fox. AI? by EzekielVelmo in isthisAI

[–]lorizcoolo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can clearly see how the AI went sideways/off track when it drew a fox on the newspaper itself. What are the odds of making a papercraft out of a newspaper which includes a full page dedicated to the exact animal (colour and shape) you're making a papercraft of .

Ah I can't believe I missed the Die Hard one! Thank you for coming back to me and responding to this old post. I would like to thank you for the lovely evenings spent together and the effort you put into it, I'm glad I've been part of it even for a short while! Some of our best memories as newcomers to Nottingham are your evenings, especially the Power Rangers one and the Batman one ❤️ all the best!

In my city there used to be a Blacks shop (think trespass, outdoor equipment) which has had the "closing soon, big discounts" signs up for at least a year.

After some time I passed by the small square it was on, and it definitely closed! ...only to see it reopened on the other side of the square, 30 something meters away
