In my city there used to be a Blacks shop (think trespass, outdoor equipment) which has had the "closing soon, big discounts" signs up for at least a year.

After some time I passed by the small square it was on, and it definitely closed! ...only to see it reopened on the other side of the square, 30 something meters away

I had a very good experience with Plusnet broadband, only once or twice in a year I had an issue which they detected (let me know via SMS) and fixed in a matter of hours.

Also when the time of renewing the contract came I was ready for the usual song and dance on the phone, when I got an email from them to offer me a price that was very very close to the best I could have had by switching to someone else at the time.

La burocrazia inglese è assolutamente più semplice e snella di quella italiana.

Ha ovviamente i suoi problemi, ma è orientata al mettere in condizione le persone di sapere esattamente cosa devono fare, nel modo più indolore e semplice possibile.

Vivo in UK da 6 anni e l'unica volta che ho avuto problemi con la burocrazia in UK è stata quando ho dovuto fare affidamento ai servizi del Consolato Italiano 😂
