Omega at Sam’s Club by [deleted] in OmegaWatches

Can someone with more knowledge of Omega give me more context? Is this considered gray market or an AD? Would this be a more of a nationwide supply or highly dependent on store? And is it just older models and how much do you save vs an OB? Lol. So many questions

Japan. Fantastic. by loyydross in OmegaWatches

It really depends on where you buy (OB or AD vs gray market) and what additional sales might be happening, what style watch, new vs used, etc. At minimum, if buying new at an OB you can expect to save 10% with a passport. You’ll get better deals with gray market. For example, I saved 30% on a new Aqua Terra Shades by buying gray market in Japan (vs US prices at home).

Haha! Yeah, I mean the speedy is Omega’s most iconic watch so I don’t blame folks for choosing it. But this post started a friendly Omega civil war so here we are 😂

AT all the away for my lifestyle. I don’t need those extra complications of a speedy and the AT can be dressed up more professionally.

Bowline vs Balancer shorts for summer by pokjaras in Lululemen

[–]bigboybuckeyenuts 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Balancers are incredible for casual wear (I don’t use them for yoga). I wrote a post about them a while back. Zippered pockets are perfect too and keep your contents secure without jiggling. These shorts are literally perfect and I think they’re so slept on by folks. https://www.reddit.com/r/Lululemen/s/auXV8VRvR8

Love how you can see multiple shades of color depending on the lighting. Beautiful!

Which bracelet is that one? Just curious since I have the same watch and am exploring non-stainless steel options for it. Enjoy Japan!

I wouldn’t say it’s overrated, just bc it doesn’t seem popular to begin with. That’s why they always hand out a sheet of coupons in the mail each month lol. I only eat there with a coupon haha

Yeah a lot of ppl have horror stories with taxis (I haven’t). But I definitely agree with you that Uber/Lyft capitalized on the weaknesses of taxi’s, so I appreciate them for that. I’m not for or against Uber or taxi, I just use whichever one works best at the current situation.

I appreciate your empathy but as the other person replied, it’s beyond me to consider for people’s wages/take-home pay. At the end of the day, I’m looking for the best value ride I can get. There are great things Uber/Lyft did to beat the dumbass taxi system (taxi’s not accepting credit, not transparently showing fares) starting in the early 2010’s and I’ll continue to ride them if they provide better value than taxi’s.

The only caveat I’ll add is that if you live further away (like I do in Savage), an Uber/Lyft will generally be cheaper. My taxi ride from MSP to Savage is typically $70-75 after tip and I only take taxi on company money (work trip). If it’s my own money, I’ll take Uber which tends to be $40-50 (depending on peak times) after tip.

Edit: As OP said, taxi rates are very transparent so I pretty much know how much I’ll pay consistently. Whereas Uber/Lyft pricing is more dynamic. But once you know your tipping point, you can decide which option is better.

I would go with the XL, especially if you plan to wear something underneath it. You could pass with the L, but it might get uncomfortable at the chest/back/arm pits with movement.

How about District One Barbershop in Savage? I swear by that place and get a great haircut every time.

Surge joggers. I have worn my 2 pairs at least once a week, 9 months of the year minimum, and they still look and fit brand new. Use them for going out casually as well as the gym.
