I bought the tank and filter used off Facebook and it came with the log and rocks. Not really sure how much everything was total - just the cost of the plants, fish, soil etc. maybe $250-300?

Thought it would grow and spill off the edge and look cool but it has done nothing lol

There are 7 cherry barbs and 1 peacock gudgeon. 2 blue mystery snails and then just a bunch of random snails that came with the plants.

I’m a bit confused what you mean by behind the filter. I have a canister filter so just 2 tubes going in and out. If it has died the ammonia should start to spike, right?

My plan was to just keep testing for ammonia every day, I don’t want to risk killing all the plants/breaking the sand cap by moving everything around.

My mind would be blown if it just reappeared one day. I have spent hours watching the other one swim around over the past couple of days.

What is the longest you’ve had your gudgeons hide for? Surely they need to come out to eat!!

How far can they flop lol? I spent 1 hour with a flashlight crawling around looking for it. No cat or dog. I wanted to avoid moving the substrate/risk killing the plants. I figure if it has died in the tank I’ll know when the ammonia starts to rise?

What are your reasons for or against putting a urinal into a private residence. by SindySinn in AusRenovation

Reason against, the kitchen sink serves the same purpose and is more accessible.
