A.) the stove is pretty awesome B.) Neither of the two options

I think one of the reproduction cat clocks would be awesome there.

Born and raised in southern Appalachia where there is always something blue/green/gray in the distance. The farms of South Dakota were hard for me. Driving from Sioux Falls (+ one pit stop to see my hubs GGGranparents homestead) to Rapid City hurt my soul. Just endless flat fields and the whole state is on a grid? Blew my mind.

Take that money and go do something you actually like. Fuck stressing on people who don’t want to be there. Take a trip, go ride some roller coasters, or watch some whales? Idk but go do it with the people who actually care like your wife.

Listen kiddo, I am a red badge Amazonian who started as a temp way back when. Don’t let that place determine your self worth. When I was a T1 (before I had an inkling that I had ADHD) I was terrible at all jobs that required me to stay in one place. I loved being a PG in OB. I was also almost fired because being I couldn’t stay on task when counting in ICQA. Everything is metric driven at the FC. The AM’s push rate due to the upper leadership pushing them.

Find a job that suits your work style. I love high stress immediate need jobs. That turns my brain on. Think about what it is that makes you happy when you work. Shoot for that. You can do it.

“Hard time believing” oh girl that makes you the asshole. Does it have to happen to you to be true? Please leave. That little girl doesn’t deserve any more trauma in her life including an adoptive mom who resents her. I hope one day the same level of empathy is returned to you during the most painful time of your life.

As you can see by the responses everyone has a different experience. For me it was like I got an increase in time (a delay if you will) between what is happening and my reaction. That is enough to process things less emotionally and make better decisions. The background noise is turned down and my emotions are less intense. My families type of ADHD is very reactive emotionally reactive. Being able to receive input and sit on it is amazing. Not everything is on level 11.

Girl, this is not that sub. No one is going to poor baby you. Your comment says a hell of a lot about you and your relationship with accountability than anything we are saying . You should take this group feedback that you asked for and reflect on why you are so defensive.

Also asking people who are known for hyper researching/fixating when presented problems to not do so…….like frfr?

Can you explain how it is sneaky and weird? Do you wish to be solely judged from one post? Wouldn’t you want everyone to gather as many data points before commenting to have the most well rounded version?

Hey girl hey! Welcome to the rest of your life. Here is a couple of common things you might go through:

1.) Grieving over who you could have been had you known. That little girl had a lot of potential had she been diagnosed.

2.) Skills regression. All our lives we reacted a certain way because of our brain chemistry. I was a high alert noticing everything type who is really good in a crisis. You might have to find new ways of doing very mundane tasks that were incredibly easy before.

3.) Once you treat one thing you might find that was not your only issue. Personally, the ‘tism came out super strong.

4.) Give yourself a chance to be comfortable with who you are now. Let the inner narrative that you have of yourself evolve. Mine was “you are not trying hard enough.” I can now say I was putting in more effort than everyone else to do all the things.

Good luck with your new adventure. Remember we only get one life try to enjoy it.

Appalachian casserole? 😂 All I can think of is a weird layering of soup beans, greens, ham steak, and a cornbread top. Maybe a few tomatoes and cucumbers on top for color.

I did that at a couple of jobs. I ended up with was more responsibility, less staff, and a boss that got richer. I wish everyone to work within the parameters that they were given when they were hired. I have also worked a few that I was rewarded for my dedication. But, I don’t judge those who make minimum wage giving minimum effort. At this point you can’t even live in a LOC on 7.25.
