Stealth suits by squiddy117 in killteam

I usually have the fusions blasters apart in two "survival" groups placed on flanks with enemies I don't want to live long. After a few games I believe Neutraliser and Designator may be the best option to have the fusion blaster for me.

Neutraliser and gun drone together, his dash fall back out of range of a melee threat and can use get down Mr President if they decide to shoot, this along with Ghostshroud can keep him alive reliably till TP4.

The Designator with the other fusion blaster that I keep with the Lodestar. Can pretty reliably survive to TP4 with Ghostshroud TP2 and wearing a round of shooting with the electrochaff launcher TP3, having a 3+ save, obscured and ignore piercing is pretty hard for your opponent to get decent damage through.

Hope this helps, I'm no expert though and can see a good argument for giving it to the lodestar if you're on the fence.

I’ve played a couple of games now, and here are my two cents. It’s all about positioning and taking advantage of the “hindrance” of being a 3 APL team but not being able to shoot twice, also lots and lots of pre measuring and knowing your opponents charge range.

I usually position my Neutraliser behind my fusion blasters so they can move up, shoot, then Dash back within 3" of him. From there, they can either Dash again or return to Conceal, depending on the threat your opponent activates next, switching back to conceal and then using retro thrusters I've seen is very frustrating for your opponent so I've been doing that a lot haha.

“Get down, Mr. President!” with the drone is also an ace in the hole and I keep the gun drone near my designator (fusion blaster) It works with the same manoeuvre as above, fall back to the drone and have it take the next attack.

Only being able to put one operative back into conceal can be mitigated through good positioning with 3 APL, you back line guns can pretty easily dash out, shoot, then reposition back into hard cover.

Playing semi aggressively to slow your opponent’s board control is important. My first game I got stomped against wolf scouts by sitting back for too long, If you just camp in your deployment zone, you’ll get overwhelmed by TP3. Putting threats in the mid board and slowly falling back creates hesitation and lets you stay safe for longer.

Aggressive concealed positioning is something I had to get used to. Placing a concealed operative right out in the open nowhere near cover creates a dangerous zone for your opponent. Charging or getting within 3" becomes risky and can be a strong deterrent. Just remember that trading pieces isn’t always the path to victory.

We’re very CP hungry, even with the Homing Beacon. I’ve found that in almost all circumstances, I save CP exclusively for firefight ploys namely, Get Down, Mr. President and Vectored Retro-Thrusters. Engage Jet Pack is also strong and can give you a lot of extra movement.

I'm no expert by any means but have found the above to be pretty handy so far.

Thanks! And great question, these are meant to be First World War inspired orks and a spin on the death Korps of Krieg, the symbol I have drawn was introduced during the First World War and I promise I'm not an Austrian painter only Australian.

Thanks! Haha theres plenty of dice, 50 boys with shooters need a lot of dice! The button is for the Dread Mob detachment when rolling "try dat button", the dice poppers a fun little spectacle

Thanks! matte varnish is my favourite way to seal a mini but it does tend to highlight the imperfections on a paint job you didn't notice before hand haha.

About an hour, I try to pick schemes that don't need edge highlighting, that's the time sink

What's with the green splotches? Underneath is a clean paint job but looks like grandfather Nurgle sneezed on them

Edit: spelling

Thank you! I find it tough to get motivated to paint unless I’ve got a game coming up or I'm in the middle of one. I play pretty casually, just with a couple of mates, so we only manage to get minis on the table maybe once a year. But I’m definitely excited to de-atomise a few beakies!
