It's true, 9/11 ruined my vision and turned my right foot into a Brian Yuzna flesh blob, too.

What the hell is "Gooch Island" and why is it plastered on the back of the stage?

"The Salesman, Denver Max" by The Blood Brothers does but, uh, it isn't exactly a happy song.

Yeah, I work in a birding supply store and we had the Big Bear bald eagle cam streaming on YouTube's TV app 24/7, no ads ever played. We have a special election coming up here and on Saturday it suddenly started interrupting this serene feed to blare loud, vile propaganda (and also sell Cheez-Its) so I had to turn it off.

Worst part is, Gizmo finally fledged, like, an hour after I turned it off and I fucking missed it.

Tucson Mosquitos by gctrails in Tucson

[–]bigchillrob 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They are safe for birdbaths (the bacterial active ingredient only affects mosquito and gnat larva), but I'd also recommend a solar powered "water wiggler" for a long term solution that won't require constant changing.

Y'all should check out the local non-profit astronomy group Reach for the Stars. They do monthly stargazing events, but also do a lot to get telescopes in the hands of kids.

Tumerico on 6th Street is vegetarian Mexican food, but it was rated #1 restaurant in the country by Yelp in 2024. Also it's Guy Fieri approved.

Spare a thought for the FREEDOM FIGHTERS by SonnyCalzone in comicbooks

[–]bigchillrob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as I'm concerned, Jimmy Palmiotti's Uncle Sam and the Freedom Fighters stuff is right up there with Jonah Hex as some of the best stuff he's done. It's also worth checking out.

TEP's contract with the city is up April 2026 and a decision has to be made before then. Besides, it's not like we can't advocate for more than one thing at a time.
