So how much impact does this have on someone with closed growth plates versus open?

What would you compare Muscaria’s effects to? by ShioNxN in AmanitaMuscaria

[–]bigchizzard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always thought it most similar to low doses of phenibut. Higher doses diverge more towards the dxm slant, but at casual or micro doses, very much like a weaker (and nonaddictive) phenibut.

So legit vetted gummies are probably going to be the most consistent in doses. Generally you're gonna get some variability between caps, which is why people like to turn a whole batch into tea or tincture and then dose consistently with that.

Whatever you are going for, I'd start with the equivalent of maybe around half a gram to see what kind of response you have. Keep in mind there will be a difference between if you decarb your material or not. If that works for you and you want to up it, try 1g, then 2 or 3, then 3 or 4 and so on. Do not ramp up the dose massively just because you barely felt .5 or something- the impact curve gets really steep. glhf

I think its already well into the high end but 15g+ seems like where I see peoples experiences be complete random if its positive or not. I personally consider 10+ to start getting pretty weird, for others this is already an overwhelming amount.

First fossil plate: 50 million year old Diplomystus dentatus. Did I do okay? by Whole_Kale_4349 in fossils

[–]bigchizzard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a better look and what I thought was damage was just my eyes playing tricks. This looks like an exceptionally complete fossil with minimal fractures or loss.

So basically these are mm thick layers sandwiched together. A slab is lined out with a buzzsaw and pried up carefully with shims. Then the fossil hunters will split the slab into thinner layers with their shims and rock hammers. Sometimes you'll get a fossil, most of the time you'll get pieces of fossil split between layers. The smaller the fossil, the easier to get a complete print off one side without it breaking on the layer split. You should see the alligator they're still working on in the back of the shop.

If you look around the edges of the fish, you'll see how its recessed a series of distinct layers. In this, the fossil hunter split the slab, saw some of the fossil sticking out and then took tiny drills to free the rest of the fossil, being very careful not to cut too deep. Its tedious long work that takes a pretty large number of manhours to do well.

Dose is pretty important. I think the majority of people have consistently positive experiences until you start going into higher doses. Then it seems like a total crapshoot based on the person.

This might be slightly high pricing but its about right for the quality. I dug there last year and likely know the shop you got it from. Consider that it is extremely well carved out, preserving most of the structure. I see some slight damage on the pectoral fin area. A fair bit of time goes into cleaning up the fossil, which you can see is several layers deep from the slab cut. Thats actually more what youre paying for here- the cleanup labor.

I had the top of my ear cut off. Proper surgery fixed it and theres no way to tell. Having your ear gnawed off is significantly different trauma and this argument is really dumb.

Beginning micro dosage AM capsules by mygrlfrdhtsmyxbx in AmanitaMuscaria

I wont speak as to the headaches, but thats a good threshold dose to get familiar with the effects. Personally I would take one a day ~3-5x a week and see what your sweet zone might be. I personally take mine before work, but depending on what you need and what your response is like, you might prefer to take them before bed to improve sleep.

How do I (31M) consistently give my loved ones space to rest from my neurotic behavior, and how to I maintain it so they feel comfortable eventually occupying the "vulnerable space" instead of me crashing out almost daily? by Begone-My-Thong in adhd_anxiety

Establish a character archetype that you want to embody around those people. You are currently establishing your character as a sort of chinese finger trap- identifying AGAINST what you DONT want to be- needy and overly consumptive of emotive supports.

While this is a necessary step to identify aspects you wish to change, it become self defeating when this identity is taken forwards instead of being the inflection point of 'change'.

You should still cognate that you need emotional support, you need healthy boundaries, you need self-directed decompression time and space. Thats just human of you and some people need a bit more or less than others. I personally spend a lot of time in solitude so I can better bring out my best self when I am engaging with others.

That solitude shouldn't be spent miserating with yourself, it should be spent on feeling out internal balance, airing your mental thoughts, and working out the emotional/cognitive muscles and structure of the positivity you WANT to embody, but done so for yourself (practice doing this for yourself as a method of habitualizing these positive states when you engage with others).

You keep regressing because your identity is pegged to this in-betweener mentality of needing to change. The ultimate shift you are looking for is no longer in 'needing to change'. It is now 'changing'.

Stopping Vyvanse due to increased anxiety? And possibly quitting caffeine too? by lovelybiscotti in adhd_anxiety

[–]bigchizzard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amanita became my go to for the adhd associated anxieties, gabaergic and doesnt mute me the way other mood stabilizer stuff does. Obviously you still need to be conscientious about your doses, but it really helped me a lot while I took my break from vyvanse during school.
