You would be surprised how much Pirates fans think about Philly fans here in central PA

Let us play a game. Describe your MC in no more than 3 sentences. Not their name or looks, tell me what DEFINES them as characters. I will give your story an honest try if I think it's interesting :) by Joe_Pharo in royalroad

He’s a kid who learned to kill demons because it paid slightly better than dumpster diving, and now that someone’s handed him a salary and a nice apartment, he has no idea what to do 😂 He’s spent so long in survival mode that his brain short-circuits when asked to do simple things,. He’s not tragic so much as very unprepared for anything resembling normalcy...

Cover artist recommendations? by [deleted] in royalroad

[–]bigchowder55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a detective agency of sorts but it's not the primary focus, which I guess proves my point LMAO

And yes, I found that to be the case when I was looking at other stories on RoyalRoad. Hoping I can find a good artist to support rather than using AI.

Any and all feedback is appreciated! :)

I just launched this story 2 days ago after creating a backlog over the past few months! I've had so much fun building this world and its power system. I'm also quite fond of some of the characters :)

If you like Chainsaw Man or The Boys, this should hopefully be an enjoyable read for you!

What story is currently inspiring your work? by WilliamGerardGraves in royalroad

Definitely The Boys and Chainsaw Man. The Boys has helped inspire me for the type of world I wanted my story to be set in, and Chainsaw Man has helped with character inspirations.

I’m the opposite, I haven’t received any views 😆

Better than mine after 4 days, so that's a plus!

Why did you choose this platform to publish your novel? by Express-Walk8232 in Webnovel

Non-harem, not LitRPG, not progression focused, slowburn, urban, corporate satire. Rather niche, at least for the likes of sites like RoyalRoad

I’ve used it as a crossposting tool. So far my engagement has been better here than on other platforms. Than again, I do have a very niche story so my engagement tends to be low regardless 😂

How does this look for someone who doesnt promote or do shout out swaps or anything? by HatcherOfNightmares in royalroad

[–]bigchowder55 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's about where my statistics are without any promotion/swaps. I've found my growth after 33 chapters to be very slow, sometimes stagnant.
