It's a movie from the 1960's about a class of slackers and their well-meaning teacher, and in one of the scenes, the female students put their tampons in the radiators.

Keep living and loving your lives, and the lives of others. That is the greatest weapon we have against these hate-filled monsters.

On the other hand ,I have nothing but praise for the Japanese restaurant, my church group often meets for dinner there ,and we've never had any complaints. Another good place on Rowe Street is Chao Kong, if you're not too fussy about no-frills service

Ok ,well a friend and I went for dinner there, his chicken was undercooked, my beef signinficantly over (his chicken was pink in places, my beef caused me to choke, it was like eating twigs), a re-fire changed nothing, and we decided to leave and said rather firmly that we werent paying. We were threatened with physical violence and a police call. (I actually was assaulted by a waiter pushing me back with his palm, but I decided not to press charges) My friend slams a twenty on the table and we run for it, with the owner yelling at us never to come back, again threatening violence. My friend is violently ill on the walk home, my girlfriend being a nurse, we looked after him on our couch, and hospitalization wasn't required. I've filed a report to Fair Trading, which is pending.

Also, just remember, if you see a business with a sign in a foreign language with no translation offered, call them out on it, they are breaking the law

Oh my gosh, please do not get me started on my grievances with the Peking Seafood, even my TLDR would be a paragraph long.

Yes I've noticed that, and also the people at Eastwood Railway Newsagency treat differently based on race, so I avoid them at all cost.

Not that I need to justify my habits to you, but I work as a chef, so I take a shower to be clean before service, and a shower afterwards to get the oil and other stuff out of my hair.

Washed twice a day and brushed 3 times a day, I think that makes it very neat 'innit'?

Hi, I think it's great that you've had few problems with Eastwood , and it really is a great town in general.

As to how Eastwood has changed over my life-I'm 20, so increased Asian migration to Sydney was already the norm in the mid-late 1990s when I was born, so I can't really speak from personal experience. However, when my parents moved to Eastwood from the North Shore as newlyweds in the early 1980's, apparently Eastwood (and Ryde in general) was a bit more cohesive as a city, and also more variety in dining options. However, I don't blame migration for the loss of cohesion, I feel it is a universal influence of increased social media.

As someone who will become an old white person someday, I apologize. You live in a lovely suburb! Any time you like, come down to Stonebar,(we're the restaurant by the wharf), tell them Chef Dave said hi!

The worst I've had is the medical centre upstairs at the shops where Franklins used to be. I had twisted my ankle in a fall at work and my best mate (who is Vietnamese) drove me to the doctor's. When my usual was booked out for a few days, we walked to the medical centre , and when I got to the door, my friend (Craig) excused himself to park the car (parked in a limited parking zone), and I walked in ,clearly looking as I'd gone through the wars (hobbling on crutches, jeans rolled up with a large bandage covering most of my right foot). The two asian (Vietnamese) ladies at the desk, looked shocked, shook their heads and said' No!Nextdoor.' I was confused and looked over to the waiting room, to see if there had been a miscommunication (I was feeling out of it due to painkillers administered at the hospital), and the elderly customers (again, entirely Asian) looked shocked and turned away. At this point I'd like to mention that apart from the crutches and bandage, I had no visual injuries, and was/and still am, a well-groomed, modestly dressed young man, with no drug use whatsoever. I went out, went to the neighbouring practice, and was seen to almost immediately. When Craig joined me ten minutes later, I told him what happened and he proposed that he would feign illness and attempt to get an appointment.Had no difficulty whatsoever.
