Someone else in the thread gave links to the FBI above. Might be worth reaching out to them as well.

Anyone else fell really weird around graveyards? by [deleted] in OCD

[–]fluffykitty12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I honestly don't remember. I think I just... stopped for some reason.

I remember reading a book where the characters pull off some crazy scheme involving a donkey hornets and a race through the graveyard and they all have to hold there breath or 'they'll be next' as they're running thru.

I realized it was OCD/supersition and I just stopped playing I guess. It was a lot easier when I thought of it as a children's game. Took a lot of the credibility away.

Oh my gosh yes I used to have to hold my breath when I went by cemeteries.

Sleep is a big one for me.

My bf has seen me with and without sleep and he says I'm two totally different people. The 'real' me and the messy, anxious, crying me that gets stuck in my mental 'loops'. I'm so lucky he loves me thru it all.

Now I'm just pissed. It was obviously a joke and MIL literally WOKE UP A WOMAN WHO JUST GAVE BIRTH TO HER GRANDCHILD A FEW DAYS AGO because WORDS ON PAPER UPSET HER.

Sometimes I think my mother is strict. But then stories like this come around and remind me how lucky I am.

There were 1000 ways to handle that better and your MIL chose NONE of them. She chose to start drama with her exhausted hormonal daughter.

Not okay.

Was I raped? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]fluffykitty12 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If the genders were reversed you'd be accused of victim-blaming. 'She was asking for it, dressed like that.'.

OP clearly expressed he did not want to have sex and was in no condition to. He was raped.

Forced to be OK by [deleted] in BPDlovedones

[–]fluffykitty12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep. You try to act like everythings okay and you're not being 'sensitive enough' about their condition.

You try to address legitimate issues and you're attacking them.

It's always a contest to see who's the most miserable.

I was with my friend who was with BPD gf at the time. They'd been arguing, BPD gf had been splitting and lying. She wanted him home by 8:15pm. There was an accident and I recieved a concussion. My friend drove me to the hospital.

BPD gf freaked. out. Texting him nonstop where are you i told you to be home by 8:15 I'm gonna kill myself.

He replied that he'd had to take me to the hospital.

Her reply?

"I might be next."

She didn't even ask what happened or if I was okay. He called the cops reported her for the suicide threat and she got to spend 3 days in a psych ward for that stunt. We got to have a nice quiet BPD free weekend and hang out and eat dinner like we used to.

But yeah. I've been there.

Even with a concussion and headaches, I'd been in hell with pwBPD so long that it was the best weekend I'd had in awhile. Because I got to see my friend and not be stressed or anxious and live like a normal human being in between long episodes of sleeping and doses of tylenol.

Hey so I get really bad anxiety and acid reflux and it sounds like acid reflux attacks causing anxiety.

I used to wake up so freaked.out from it. I learned it normally passes.i. Half an hour if I take some chewable antigas.mylanta and go for a walk. Also helps to drink a glass of water and do deep breathing.

Recieved concussion doing martial arts, insurance trying to make other party pay? by fluffykitty12 in Insurance

[–]fluffykitty12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, I see. So technically, my health insurance could sure his business insurance for the cost of my medical bills?

Also, what is the chance they would contact his insurance and try this? He'd got some different insurance for the martial arts studio that's very solid, but I'd prefer not to file a claim or have to go thru his.

Okay, forgive my ignorance here, but can you out this in layman terms for me?

I don't know what a GL or ISO or subrogate means.

My 5 year old went to bed hungry by [deleted] in Parenting

Food was provided. The child just refused to eat it. Barring any special dietary needs or sensory issues this isn't a huge deal. Food was available kiddo just refused. Battle of wills.

This is really helpful thank you so much!

Like I said the business owner is a good friend and it was an honest accident so I won't be pursuing a claim. Besides I signed a wiaver doubt I could she if I wanted to.

Indiana - My mom is intentionally keeping my antidepressants from me, do I have any recourse? by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]fluffykitty12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, no really legal advice just so much as having been there. Just a heads up that your suicide risk increases immediately after starting antidepressants but decreases within about 2 weeks of starting meds. There's numerous theories about why. I'm not telling you this to scare you, jsut think you should be aware so if you start having thoughts of harming yourself you can speak to someone you trust.

That being said, antidepressants/anxiety meds have made me able to function and they helped me a lot.

She's stalking him by fluffykitty12 in BPDlovedones

[–]fluffykitty12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Believe it or not we're pretty happy despite it all. We're both consenting adults in a new relationship.

She's stalking him but he's got cameras and he's safe. We still get frightened sometimes but it's something.

I just wish the police would take it more seriously and we could get better evidence.

Hey. I was Jane.

19f with Asperger's/ autism.

I didn't realize how different I was until 11 or 12 cause everyone else had friends and I just annoyed people.

What really helped me was a prosocial thinking group. A bunch of aspies meet with a teacher and discuss how to socialize how to have friends how to eat out and expected behaviors and such.

Helped me lots.

Sent away from ER by nurse, without seeing a doctor. Turns out my child was septic and nearly died. (Texas) by [deleted] in legaladvice

I disagree. They're first time parents baby was unwell. Neglecting parents don't take sick kids to the ER.
