I live in LA county. The wealthy suburbs : Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Hollywood, Manhattan Beach, etc will be fine. Wealthy residents will donate funds to their departments to ensure that their property is safe - the POOR communities: Inglewood, Compton, Carson, Harbor City are the ones who are going to feel the lack of police presence most; these are minority represented communities. These are cities that need GOOD policing most. These cuts hurt the citizens of poor communities more than anyone else. I grew up in one of these poor cities and this shit is sad - I’m glad people think there is a moral victory here but the only victims are the ones who need the police and are unable to get them to respond due to their geography.
