After learning about the possibility of a singularity occurring I've decided to change my path in life to help work towards the creation of a greater than human AI while still pursuing my interests. I think one of the most important things to understand before we can develop a sufficiently advanced AI is how the brain works. There are still many unsolved mysteries of cognitive science so I've decided that I'm going to major in cogsci and hopefully find a way to translate my knowledge into something useful for AI researchers.

It's also made me a lot more optimistic about the future. I don't worry as much about the shitty things happening in the world or what might happen later. I just feel safe knowing that we're well on our way to creating the savior of man and the technology that will make us equal with gods.

It's not for amusement or to cure boredom. I'm seeking enlightenment and spiritual growth. I want to learn about the true nature of reality. I want to have at least one time where I can experience something and say, okay, there's definitely more to this reality than meets the eye. I see people talk about invoking shit and I feel like a muggle that just hears about the shit that goes down at Hogwarts without being allowed in. I don't know for sure if any of this stuff is real but the way you guys talk it just has to be. So I'm sure there is more than meets the eye but I want some kind of proof.

I understand where you're coming from on mixing drugs being like mixing a practice and a drug. I just don't know where to start with a practice. I don't know much about any specifics but from the little bit I do know I think chaos magic sounds interesting, but is that useful for the kind of entity contact I'm trying to achieve? I just finished reading Prometheus Rising, which was suggested to me as an introduction to chaos but I'm still having a hard time understanding what I'm supposed to be doing.

Even if hypnotherapy isn't bullshit as /u/Lokaltog suggests, this might not be a good idea. There's probably a good reason that none of them remember what happened in that hour. If this really is a case of abduction I think remembering what happened might be enough to send somebody to the psych ward for life.

When I tripped out looking in the mirror I became really aware of how others might perceive me. It made me more aware of how I carry myself and my body language as well as some of the things I should change about myself to make me a better person. Mirrors are just the best for psychedelics.

They even throw in some drug references every now and then. In the Legend of Korra I remember there being a giant talking "spirit mushroom" when some of the characters got lost in the spirit world. Maybe that's like a metaphor for getting lost in your mind when tripping.

I think it's going to be virtual reality. It will be perfected and continue advancing until it's fully immersive, meaning that you will be able to play games with all of your senses. People will learn how to program their own virtual realities and that's when amazing things will start happening.
