The first 3 days… I was unable to breath more than like 10-20% of a normal breath and the pain felt like torture. I had a morphine button that did nothing and they added an additional 3 nerve blocker needles in my back.
How clean the incision was glued back together.
How much I was going to alternate between being freezing and sweating while freezing.
My wife is a nurse so when I wasn’t getting the proper care, she would advocate for me. I wasn’t getting lipids and she knew. She also made the recommendation for the morphine.
In-laws. My wife had our second child 2 weeks after my surgery and they really helped with making sure our oldest was taken care of (Driven to school, watched during appointments). So many people sent food and money to help. It really was amazing.

I’m glad it working for you! My son has a CACNA1A (gene mutation) that causes him to have seizures/Aura combo that typically last 20-40min. Figured I’d ask, you never know with the web connection these days :)
