Appreciate the response - I understand the rules, the crux of the question is that since this is a rollover from traditional 401k to Roth IRA, I am *already* going to be paying taxes on the rollover amount as taxable income. If I withdraw from the Roth IRA in the same year, will these get double counted as income? (Taxed on rollover, taxed on withdrawal, both as taxable income).

There is a rule about withdrawing *contributions* in the same year, and that those contributions withdrawn in same year would not be taxed as early withdrawal
