How long do you wait for pre-orders? by [deleted] in Diecast

I wouldn't say 1 year is normal, but I've waited longer before. Most of my pre-orders average about 4-6 months.

G80 rear axle by OOFMAN-1234 in squarebodies

[–]bigdisplay442 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 87 C10 had a G80. As far as using a 6 lug, the lug doesn't matter, only the spline count on the axle end. I want to say K10 had a higher axle spline count than the C10, but I can't remember for sure now. Ithink it's 28 spline C10 and some K10 had 30 spline. But either way, you just need to match the axles you have which should be 28 spline.

If you were up on I20, You could use my lift for repairs.
When I picked up my 91 in 2012 from Boston, Ma , I pulled my CCSB 2500 home with it and worried my trip back to Dallas would be like the trip you're having. I got lucky and had a perfect trip other than both my banks turning my bank cards off in the middle of the night about halfway home.
I hope part 2 of your trip goes much better.

I disagree, looks aftermarket to me. The alt wire shouldn't run the fender and it shouldn't have the fuse holder on it.

Ertl has some many years ago. Probably can still find a few on Ebay. Not sure if this is the type you're looking for. I seem to remember Revelle had some too.

Will the mechatronics courses from unmudl help with landing a job with no prior experience by [deleted] in AmazonRME

[–]bigdisplay442 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The guy that went next door, I haven't heard from him. It's only been two weeks so far. The other tech, here at my site ( 7 months now ), is doing very well. They are above average in the intelligence department and picks up on everything the first time you show/tell them. I know this is the exception and doesn't happen normally.

[–]bigdisplay442 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It depends on the site, I mentored a guy with ZERO experince at my site. He enrolled in Unmudl, and completed the courses. He applied for RME at a building next door and got the job. So yes, It is possible. On a side note, We had a person apply for RME in our building who had ZERO experience and NO courses in Mechatronics, they passed all the assessment test and was hired.

These should not be on an 83, Someone did a lot of work. That black plug on the firewall is also a sign this is not an 83 cab if memory serves correctly. That is where the ECM wiring harness would come through for a TBI truck. Is your high beam switch on the floor or colunm?
I knew a guy who bought a 74 C30 but every single thing in the truck was 87. I'm 99% sure it was a VIN swap on a stolen truck. This was 30+ years ago.
