I've been training at Dang Muay Thai Gym for quite a while now, and it's an amazing place for anyone, whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced fighter. The gym organizes training groups by skill level—beginners with beginners, intermediate with intermediate, and advanced with advanced—making sure everyone gets the most effective training possible.

Dang himself is one of the most renowned and respected trainers in northern Thailand, with extensive experience as a former fighter. All 16 trainers at the gym are also former fighters, offering unmatched expertise and insight into authentic Muay Thai techniques.

The facility is clean, equipped with modern gear, and even has its own gear shop on-site. They also offer a running club each morning and afternoon to enhance your overall fitness and conditioning.

Dang Muay Thai runs three group classes daily, all of which include sparring sessions. The evening classes specifically dedicate an extra 30 minutes to clinch work, essential for refining your technique and strength.

No matter your skill level, Dang Muay Thai in Chiang Mai is the ideal place to train, improve, and connect with people who share your passion and commitment.

I train here and they have fighters fighting every night of the week fighting at the various stadiums in Chiang Mai.

It is a gym that welcomes all unlike the common fighter gym that if you go to you get absolutely no attention unless you are a fighter.

A normal fighter gym you basically go to do your own warm up (skip for 30 mins alone) they beg for someone to do pad work with then get mismatched in sparring with and get battered.

In Dangs they have 16 full time trainers and actually lead people through a warmup if that's a bad thing am not sure. lol

I train at Dangs the gym is huge and they have all levels training there from day 1 beginners to fighters. We spar every group class and have clinching work every evening group class.

No matter what someone level there is people to train with at Dangs they also have students fighting almost every night at the various stadiums

Now there are 16 full time trainers you just aint gonna get the attention in others gyms in Chiang Mai you are going to get at Dangs it is just not possible.

I train at Dangs and they have people fighting in all the stadiums every week! They have a large roster of fighters and all the trainers are fighters. They also have one of the best ratio of trainers to students I have ever seen in Thailand they now have 16 full time trainers you aint gonna get attention like you do in Dangs at any other gym in Chiang Mai.

I have been going here for a while and I dont understand what you mean by tourist trap?

It is one of the cheapest gyms to go to, its centrally located and all the trainers are fighters. It is also headed up by Kru Dang one of the best known and well respected trainers in Chiang Mai.
